Whilst America has been in the grip of election fever, here on British shores the focus of our attention has been on a little scandal thats been brewing for a couple of weeks. Russell Brand, host of this year's VMA's, has been getting into trouble (along with his pal, fellow broadcaster Jonathon Ross) on his BBC Radio show. The long and short of the story is that Brand made several phone calls to a well respected English actor and alluded to having sex with his grandaughter- you can hear the recording here
Brand is known for his edgy humour but this time he seems to have upset a lot of people. The BBC received over 70,000 complaints about this episode (he has since resigned). Conversely there is an uprising on facebook, with groups organising marches calling for him to exonerated from blame.
