And This Is How I Spend My Sunday Night.

IMBOREDOUTOFMYMIND.

Okay, well, not really.

I mean, I would seriously rather having nothing to do than have to do endless amounts of homework, as I usually do on weeknights.

So I haz to read the book Night for my English class and answer some questions.

It's quite a lot of work. Luckily, it's not due til Tuesday. Partly because tomorrow, my grade will have a guest speaker.

Mhm, and this guest speaker *drum roll* just so happens to be a survivor of the Holocaust.

Gee iz excited.

It ties in with what we're doing in my English class. And we just finished learning about World War 2 in History.
WW2 is easyyy. And I already knew mostly everything we were taught.

I don't even know why I'm telling you guys this boring crap. Haha. I was just messing around with my camera and wanted to post some pictures, tell you about my boring life, etc. etc.

LALALA.

Listening to old Coheed tunes. They pwn.

Photobucket

Muy interesante lines from Night.

This reads: "Never shall I forget those things, even were I condemned to live as long as God Himself. Never.

P.S It's raining and thundering outside, woot. :)

EDIT: Is anyone else getting that black screen that says "BUZZNET will be back shortly"?

Coheed And Cambria

Don't let the abundance of hair and mid-high falsetto fool you, there's more to Coheed & Cambria than meets the eye and ear. While the New York based foursome keep their feet firmly planted on Earth, the music they compose is out of this world, to say the least.

Each album that the band has put out is but another book in an epic story penned by singer and conceptualist, Claudio Sanchez. Every chapter a new perspective from any combination of the plethora of characters, from the namesake husband and wife Coheed and Cambria on the lam from those who created them, their son Claudio trying to find answers, The Writing Writer biding his escape from both reality and the unreality he's made, or a possessed ten-speed bicycle haunting The Writing Writer's life. Robots, mages, murder, space chases; if you're a sci-fi and fantasy geek who loves good music, you're probably already a fan.

Alongside the music there's also a comic series that coincides with each album, both adding weight and sometimes clearing up things from the music. If you want to know more about the world, a group of fans have been so kind as to explain the story a bit.

Musically, they're a bit hard to pin down. Metal, that's for sure, but weird math-hair-fantasy-Rush style without really touching any of those. The best way to really understand is just to listen to them. The story is continuous through the albums, but you don't necessarily need to know that to enjoy music. And so, in no particular order, some of my personal favorites:

Devil In Jersey City
Blood Red Summer
The Crowing
Everything Evil

5 Music Videos That Want To Eat Your Brains

Last Week | Next Week

Everyone loves zombies! Slow ones, fast ones, Romero rules or 28 Days Later rage-infected (which aren't real zombies, but let's not go into that just now, shall we?). Whatever the reason, people just love them. If you don't love them, you're probably dead. And if you're dead, you're probably undead-- in which case we'll be too busy giggling insanely as we kill you with our death guns to care what you think. In any case, below is a list of five music videos what feature everyones favorite monsters.

The Aquabats - Fashion Zombies
Okay, so this one is a bit of a cheat. They may not be zombies in the traditional sense, but damnit if their sense of style isn't dead.

Leslie & The Lys - Zombie Killer
Elvira, gold lyrcra, abuse of aftereffects and some valuable information for surviving a zombie apocalypse makes this one of the kitschiest videos of all time.

Coheed And Cambria - Blood Red Summer
I'm a freak for Coheed and Cambria, but if you've ever wanted to see them dead now's your chance.

The Creepshow - Zombies Ate Her Brain
Finally! Some psychobilly on this list, eh?

Metallica - All Nightmare Long
Warning, this is a long video with almost no vocals. Also, there's a lot of reading involved. But if you can hang through it, there is a totally cool story about how Russia screws the world over with zombies. Wicked fun.

Enjoyed the list? Help me make more! Every sunday I'm going to post another music videos list with a theme, but I can only find so many on my own! I need suggestions to keep this going! I don't care what genre of music it is, just send me a private message with a link to a video and which theme you think it fits in. I'll trim it down to the top five best. Here's a few to keep in mind:

Five Deceptively Simple Videos
Five Live Performance Videos Done By Audience Members
Five (official) Live Performance Videos
Five Film Noir Inspired Videos
Five Best AMVs (Anime Music Videos)
Five Videos That Are Montages
Five (Insanely Intricate) Single Shot Videos
Five Horror Videos
Five Videos That Give You The Warm Fuzzies
Five Videos Where Children Are Our Future (And That Future Is Terrifying)
