Phish Festival 8 Is One Of The Hot Spots To Be On Halloween 2009

For the first time ever, Phish will combine two of its most cherished traditions - the Phish festival and the band's Halloween event - in a massive three-day celebration Festival 8. Held October 30th, 31st and November 1st at The Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA., Festival 8 marks several additional firsts: it is Phish's first three-day festival, its first held on the West Coast and it will be the first time that a single band has played consecutive dates at the venue.

If you are not familiar with Phish then you obvioussly know nothing about the jam band scene. Phish is kind of the pioneer of jam bands. I know what you are thinking, great we have them to thank for all the fake-hippy nonsense that develops these days. But, that is really not it. Phish is actually an extremely talented band, that just takes a very specefic set of ear buds to tolerate.

Anyway, I have never burnt my bras for the war not going on, but I am not going to deny how much I used to love myself a great Phish show. I am totally curious to see how one band is going to takeover the grounds where 150 bands unite in the Spring for Coachella. I am going to be attending Phish on Halloween and capturing all the most ridiculous moments and most memorable costumes at the festival. I figure what better place to be then in the desert among thousands of costumes at a 3 day festival!

If you are in the area and curious at all, here are the details ...
