Young Hollywood Flocks To The Desert For Coachella

Part of the fun of the annual Coachella festival is the sensation of leaving civilization behind as you head off to the remote, palm-studded fields of Indio, California. But no matter how isolated it may seem, it's still only two hours from LA, and you know what that means: celebs, celebs, everywhere celebs.

There are two kinds of celebrities at Coachella: the regulars (we swear, we've seen Cameron Diaz lounging in the VIP like, every year - the girl is a music fan) and the n00bies, the new Hollywood types who you sense are just hanging around to be part of the scene. We won't say which one we think is which, but we'll tell you what we did see. 

So far we've got some good ones:

At around sundown on Saturday, Jared Leto (rocking the long hair again) and a couple of his bros were strolling through the VIP area when they walked right by a certain Ms. Dita Von Teese!! We personally witnessed one of Jared's pals pointing her out, and the guys turned around so Jared could go over and give her a hug!! We wonder if Dita (who was wearing a cute nautical-theme shirtwaist dress) is a 30 Seconds to Mars fan...

Party enthusiast and BFF-seeker Paris Hilton and her declared future husband, Doug Reinhardt, also made an appearance on Saturday night, possibly in time to see MIA. (Paris' look her almost qualifies as incognito - every girl there is wearing a headband, bikini top and huge glasses. Totally original).

Awesome giganto-couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal strolled right in the middle of regular humans as the temperatures started to climb on Saturday. (Note the hats on both - smart). We heard they caught some of the acts on the early side of the day's bill, which includes Joss Stone, Liars and Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti.

Then at night they cuddled during the Jenny Lewis performance. O. M.  G. they are the cutest!!

Kate Bosworth, of 21 and Superman Returns fame, showed up yesterday with her (possible) boyfriend, model/actor/hunka James Rousseau. Page Six recently reported that they'd broken up, and she was seen getting cozy with Hollywood money man Ryan Kavanaugh...

It did get quite cold Friday night -- funny how the desert cools off so fast when the sun goes down -- so no wonder she put that jacket on...

Also spotted: Underworld's lycan/stud Scott Speedman AND his former co-star in TV's Felicity, Scott Foley. We spotted both guys hanging with friends by the coffee stand in the VIP area.

Nice!! And guess who else we spied mixing with the festivalgoers -- Kirsten Dunst, with bleached blonde hair, chilling in the VIP with two gentlemen during Paul McCartney's headlining set, and we're 99% sure we saw Speed Racer and Into the Wild star Emile Hirsch out in the crowd during the same performance. We'll keep looking for photographic proof...

And here's a sweet story: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' daughter Scout Willis lost her phone somewhere on the festival grounds, but some anonymous kind soul picked it up and returned it to lost & found. Scout's friend called the phone, found out it was there, enabling her to go retrieve it in person. Thanks universe!!
