Chris Isaak & Anna Nalick

I had always wanted to see Chris Isaak in concert, but he never played around here. So I jumped at the chance to see him up at Meadowbrook Farm in Gilford, NH. I've been a fan since 1985 when his "Gone Ridin' " appeared in the movie American Flyers. I think he kinda looks like a young Elvis and sounds like Roy Orbison, with a Duane Eddy twangy guitar thrown in. He had a meet and greet after the show where he actually took the time to shake hands, say hi and sign autographs for everyone who wanted to. So that's how I got my CD signed. He seems like a goofy and cool guy, kind of like he is on The Chris Isaak Show.
I really didn't know who Anna Nalick was. But once I heard her sing, I recognized her songs "Breathe" and "In The Rough". She kind of sounds like a rocked-up Jewel. She was quite good.

yeah, I've enjoyed seeing Chris Isaak live although I don't care for his recordings so much. The first time I saw him on tour was in '88 and then a few times after that. Really fun!

That's too bad, because I doubt you can keep his career going all by yourself.
