Dashboard Confessional fans rejoice: The band has entered the studio with producer Adam Schlesinger to begin work on album number six.

The bloated rock star syndrome, typified by pampered performers isolated behind walls of ego from their audience and from any meaningful aspects of life at large, is a complex that Dashboard Confessional takes great pains to avoid. Founding singer and guitarist Chris Carrabba uses concerts to commune as he entertains. The band and the audience meld. It is as if there is no difference between the crowd and the musicians under the stage lights. Except that few in the crowd can write songs with the delicacy, poignance and strength of Dashboard Confessional.
