Dating My Wife
It's really important to continue to date your wife after you get married. Some couples even find it necessary to have a scheduled date night once a week where they go out and spend time together. I'm sure this only gets more important after you have a kid. In anticipation of having a kid, Stacy and I have been spending as much time going out on dates as possible because we realize it simply won't be possible for a while.
Especially when we're going out often, we have a really hard time thinking of things to do. It seems like I really only like doing things that she doesn't like to do and she doesn't really like doing anything at all. I'm content playing video games or playing frisbee golf or going out with friends to whatever but she's not happy unless it's sit down, be alone, and talk time. Not that I don't like being alone and talking to her but her idea of a good date night is usually so boring. We're always looking for creative ideas. So far, dinner is the best we can think of. We like to go somewhere nice and drag it out. I don't get bored because there's food to eat and people to watch and she is happy because it's just us and we get to talk.
One of our favorite places is the Teak downtown. It's an awesome Thai restaraunt with great sushi and Japanese sencha green tea. I really like the pad thai but I also like trying new things. We may be close to having ordered everything on the menu. The only problem is that it's kind of expensive. Especially with the baby coming we need to be saving money. The expensiveness is also kind of attractive to her too though. It's in a yuppy neighborhood so dressing up and carrying around her Baggallini Bagg and pretending to be rich makes her feel like she's playing dress up again.
So, the reason for the post. Do you have any other good restaraunt ideas or other good date night ideas?
