Black President Tear Apart Gym Class Heroes During Live Interview: 'F*** That Band!'
Los Angeles punk-rock band Black President had more than enough to say about the current state of music during last night's interview on DJ Rossstar's Punk Rock Show, but it was one brief mention of Gym Class Heroes that sent guitarist Charlie Paulson over the edge.

"F*** that band! They f***ing sell a million records by ripping off somebody's song and the f***ing lyrics that they wrote in the rap, don't even make sense with the f***ing chorus. It's like ... 'Take a look at my girlfriend.' The Supertramp song is dissing his f***ing old lady, yet the f***ing Gym Class Heroes lyrics are like 'I love you and I bought you flowers and I'll share my milk with you at recess. Go f*** yourself!" You know what ... Gym Class Heroes ... Crazytown Part 2."
Paulson made it clear that he did think Gym Class Heroes' set was tight on the Warped Tour and he doesn't automatically dislike your band if you don't sound like Black President ... he just doesn't respect musicians who can't play their instruments and the fact that all emo kids are following the exact same trends because they 'can't think for themselves.'
Black President will release their self-titled debut full-length on September 16. Do you think Paulson was too harsh for what he said about Gym Class Heroes? What would you say to Paulson if you had a minute alone with him?

I can't wait 'till we're at the bottom of the food chain.
If you're not an artist like U2, Genesis or The Beatles (What's left of them, anyway) then I don't think you have room to say shit, seriously.
SOS unplugged short said *ggg*
HEY! Jason Christopher!.......which jonas brother!?! lmmfao!
i'm kind of annoyed that gym class has used the choruses of two older songs and then essentially reworked them but who the fuck reallys cares. it's like doing a damn cover. get over it.
EVERYONE GO GET ONE, LISTEN TO THE MUSIC AND LYRICS, THEN YOU WILL SEE HIS POINT...
BELIVE ME THEY HAVE ---PLENTY-- OF ROOM TO TALK.......
THEY WERE 1 OF MAYBE 5 OR 6 BANDS THAT WERE ON THAT WARPED TOUR SHIT THAT KNOW MUSIC....
ANYWAY THE NEXT TIME ANY OF YOU ARE ON THE RADIO FEEL FREE TO SAY WHAT YOU WANT (IF YOU HAVE THE BALL TO!!!)
YOUR OBVIOUSLY NOT A MUSICIAN........
MAYBE SOMEDAY YOU WILL UNDERSTAND......OR NOT!
I am a musician and I respect everyone's ideas, epically other musicians ideas.
This guy is entitled to his opinion, but I have to disagree with him.
They made the hook their own and made the song different than the original. What is so bad about that?
Also, Gym Class Heroes is different from a lot of other bands in my opinion. From the hip hop angle, all of their songs aren't about cash and girls. From the rock angle, they don't have some guy/girl with a whiny voice singing.
As for the emo stuff:
Emo is a trend. Every generation has trends. Every generation has people who think that they are above said trends.
The end.

I just did. I listened to the four songs on myspace in their entirety and I'm not really that impressed. In my opinion they're not horrible, but they're not that great either. I don't think they have that much room to talk.
I like GCH's lyric's better. I like GCH's sound better.
