Science Fair Project

Science Fair Project

This was my entry in our school's Science Fair in April 2007.

My topic was Medeival Seige Engines, and my dad and I made a working catapult from scratch, with no kit involved. We also did all of the computer graphics and information on the backboard after doing a lot of research.

My catapult didn't throw rocks, though. I used small wrapped candies that the other kids could catch, but we had the most fun launching toy cows, pigs, ducks and chickens, just like in the Monty Python movies.

We enjoyed doing this project together, and I got a ribbon to show for it as well.

You did a lot of work on this project, from the construction of the catapult, the research, and the gathering of the material. And your presentation was very good, and pretty witty with the Monty Python catapult effect with the toy cows and the other animals.

There's a copy of the final Science Fair Project presentation here in his journal, and it's pretty impressive.
