Beautiful Day in Mountain View California. August 20th 2009.
The weather was perfect and the music was amazing.
I was super bummed I didn't get to see Brokencyde.
Also I was pissed I missed so many performances.
It was either meet bands or see them perform, and I chose to met them!
Thanks to my Music Saves Lives Blood Drive, I got VIP backstage wristbands.
I got to go backstage to the stages and I got to hang out where the tour buses are
and where all the bands chill, drink, and fuck around haha...it was awesome!!!
Highlight of my day? Meeting Chris Wallace from The White Tie Affair and having him kiss my cheek!
Yeah that's right...be jealous cause he is soooo HOT! I love him!

Ok another re-write. My imagination is just drained with this one so I'm starting again, from the very start!!
Even though she doesn't believe in love he's determined to call her bluff
The sun light spilled into the room and I groaned as I reluctantly opened my eyes. Sophie stood hands on her hips "Holly you've go to get up! Encase you have lost your brain with last night's festivities YOU HAVE WORK!" Sophie yelled. I sat up and cursed last night Pre 'it's my 20th birthday on Monday' party that was originally meant to be a Mexican meal until jack and Gabe crashed it with bottles of tequila. I jumped out of bed and hurried to the shower, I had become an expert at looking awake and perfectly fine after a heavy party, a shower, lots of eyeliner, lots of coffee and water and food and if all else failed call in claiming a sickie day but i refused point blank to miss today.
Down stairs Laura, Sophie and grace were sat in the living room eating breakfast "Ahh the morning after, how are you?" I looked at Laura while pouring myself a coffee "What exactly happened last night all I remember is a food fight with Taco's and Gabe and jack showering people in tequila" I said before downing some coffee. "There was the food fight, then we went to h.wood and meet up with the rest of our fellow partier's and Gabe, jack, Alex and Nate had a dance off, Gabe won so he then poll danced." I chuckled as Grace filled in the rest, "More tequila shots and then we went home.... I think Vicky has it all on camera" We all looked at grace and groaned. "Not Good!" Laura exclaimed. "What did you get up to?" Grace asked "That we didn't see" I added Laura scowled "Nothing!!" It was just then the apartment buzzer went off, "Saved by the buzz" I muttered answering the intercom phone "Hello". "Well hello party queen I'm here to drive you and Laura into work". I smiled and put the phone down "Laura, Cam is here to drive us to work". I yelled grabbing my bag and laptop case, "Good luck and have fun!" Sophie and grace yelled as we slammed the door shut.
Despite the night before, by the time we had stopped at star bucks and got to work Laura and I were totally buzzed. We hurried up the stairs to be meeting by "The dragon" as everyone called her.
"This is a chance for photography and words and your creativity to come out and play if I don't see that in the final piece I'll fire you; no I'll fire both of you." The dragon stormed off down the corridor, Laura and I exchanged looks before walking into the studio. The studio looked crazy, half of it had been covered in sand and rocks and looked like the desert, there was a miniature big wheel covered in fairy lights "Wow it's just amazing! Like a movie set!" Laura gushed. I nodded in agreement, kind of stunned at its overnight transformation. I took a sip from my hot coffee and nearly chocked when Brandon flowers walked along the hallway and waved as he slipped into the green room. Laura stood looking so excited she might burst, we both turned the other way clasped hands a squealed silently as possible. You see we were covering a new festival the killers had set up called "Joy Ride", so we had a few bands from the line up and the killers in for an interview and shot.
Laura was busy interviewing the Cab while I was photographing You me at six, Josh was swinging from one of the compartments on the mini- big wheel, max was wrapping matt up in fairly lights and Dan and Chris were busy acting like cave men, but I did get some excellent shot's and some particularly wonderful comments from josh, but we won't go into that. I was about to swap with Laura when I heard a voice that made me blood turn cold and made me want to run away and hide under my duvet at home. As I felt slightly faint I told myself to concentrate but as I neared to were the cab were stood, my worst fears were confirmed, I just prayed to god when flicking through my shots he (A) didn't recognise me (B) If he did he would ignore me OR (C) Brandon would come to my saviour wanting to see the photo's. I avoided his eyes while talking to the "Alex's" - there are so many of them - cash, Bryan and Laura. When I thought I was safe I was busy changing my filters for the pictures and hunting down more film, as I rushed down the corridor into the studio and bumped into someone. I looked up hoping it was anyone but him, but luck wasn't on my side. "Sorry" I said quickly hurrying to pick up my film, he bent down to help me and that inevitable "hands touched at the same time" thing happened. "Have I met you before?" I shook my head "I don't think so" I lied, averting my eyes from his. As I got up and hurried off to find Laura, I cursed going out last night. Brandon flowers stood with the rest of his band dressed in his infamous blazer with feathered shoulders I handed her some film "HAVE FUN!" I yelled hurrying to find the cab, "Right, how about a little party huh?"
It was so busy and crazy, mainly because I was juggling doing work and avoiding him, as I ran past Laura having fun with the killers, into the store cupboard yet again hunting for film and anything with feathers and glitters that screamed "las Vegas" at me. I was thanking myself for wearing my little scarlet red ballet flat's instead of heels when the lights flickered and went out. "Oh fuck, well that's just fucking brilliant! Just great!!!!" I groaned. I ran my hand along the racks till I bumped into one of them, "OW!" I squealed before muttering obscenities. I finally found the light booster to find myself face to face with someone I had been trying desperately to ignore for so long.
"It's you isn't it?" He asked before chuckling "Wow Holly, you've changed!" I gave up the game for then on in. "What do you want?" I asked and saw him frown "To say hi, to be nice" I sighed "Hi ......" I said before rooting round for the burlesque fans. "Are these what you're looking for?" He asked holding the fans up, I snatched them from his hands, as I was about to walk away his hand's curled round my wrists, "Aren't you gunna put a little show on with them like you did...." I cut him off "I think you might have mistaken me for someone else" I told him. "Nope, it's defiantly you, Holly I know you to well" I laughed "Oh really" I rose my eyebrow's daring him to prove it. "Your favourite candy is gummy bear's 'cus they don't argue back when you bite their head off, you where brought up in some little green place called Somerset and moved to London when you were 18, then you moved here , Your favourite English band is friendly fires, you adore alfresco food and samba music, you love carnivals, Your first interview ever was with Bloc party, your first gig was cobra starship, your mum brought you up single handed" I stopped him " I don't need my life story , I am the one living it" I told him. We starred at each other, This time I couldn't avoid his eye's dark brown and always had that effect of clearing my mind "I know one thing, you've always been a she wolf, trying to act tough and ballsie when you're not" He whispered and I glared at him, I wanted to hit him but there was literally no gap between us, His arm was softly round my waist and my nails were dug into his shoulder's so I could cause him some pain if he tried anything. His thumb brushed my bottom lip lightly. I froze instantly "Brendon...." I warned

Went to the Detroit Warped last Friday. So. Fucking. Amazing.
My computer has been down so i havent been able to post, but now it's working again!
The Devil Wears Prada
OMG I don't think I've ever been more scared for my life than I was at this set. I'm really not a fan of them, but they are one of my best friend Haleys bands, and she missed them last year because we were in line waiting to meet Cobta Starship.
So we went to see them this year, and it was a disaster. We couldnt even stay for the whole set.
We accidentally got caught in a Crop Circle in the first song and were knocked over and trampled. We both lost our shoes and my foot was dripping blood all over the place. Some randon guy had to help me up before I was hurt worse and then we left during the first song. Unfortunately it took us fifteen minutes to get out of the crowd. Never again....
Sing It Loud
I have only recently fallen in love with this band. They remind me alot of All Time Low, which is pretty awesome. They played all my favorites! No One Can Touch Us, Best Beating Heart, Come Around, Bite Your Lip, and Don't Save Me. Ah - mazing.
After this we Had like two hours to kill o we just shopped around and stuff.
Went to the All Time Low meet and greet and it was awesome. I got a high five from Jack! and Alex smiled at me! *faints*
I got their Break Your Little Heart t shirt and a copy of Nothing Personal and they signed them for me!
So then we had another hour or so until All Time Low's set. (funny, all of thee bands we wanted to see were either early in the day or late. So we had alot of spare time!)
All Time Low
What can I say? It was All Time Low. That's really all that needs to be said. This was my second time seeing them, and was still unbelieveable.
They did Weightless, Six Feet Under the Stars, Lost in Stereo, Dear Maria, Break Your Little Heart, Damned if I Do Ya, and Jasey Rae. I really wish they would have done Therapy, but hey, they're coming back in the Fall so maybe they'll do it then.
Chiodos
Went and saw Chiodos last year too. Still really good show. They broke My Chemical Romance's record of 60 Crowd-Surfers all at once. It was so cool to see all those people in the air. New album out soon. Cool Cool.
3oh!3
This was our first time seeing 3oh!3 and they did an epic show. Did all my favorites. 'Nuff said. We only watched the first half of the set though, we wanted to see Cash Cash!
Cash Cash
Another one I only recently fell in love with, their sound is like a sweet combination of Forever the Sickest Kids and All Time Low, which is a cool combination. They did my faves, Party in Your Bedroom, Sugar Rush, Radio, plus a few I haven't heard before, but definitely liked.
I met the lead singer at their merch stand earlier in the day, but was (unfortunately and infuriatingly) too shy to say anything except "hi". I felt like an idiot.
We tried to make it to The Maine too, but we couldn't get good enough spots and couldn't see a thing so we left. Which is ok because I saw them last November so I didn't mind too much.

So that was my Warped this year! despit the battle wounds, it was still better than last year. Way more encounters with the bands, whereas last year they were almost non existent.
Hopefully I'm going to blinks reunion tour later this month, so let's keep our fingers crossed!

Todays BOTD is Cash Cash Ok Cash Cash ,
made up of Jean Paul, Sam, Alex, Mike and Anthony. This band is amazing, their songs are extremely catchy..i'd call them spazz out songs...just because their really poppy and fun. They remind me of a more fun version of metro station.... except their lead singer doesnt scare me but thats beside the point...(trace cyrus scares me a little) I basically love their whole album so go buy it , its called Take It To The Floor Right now they are on tour with Every Avenue, Valencia, The Morning Light and Sparks the Rescue I believe on the Shh. It Happens Tour. So i'd suggest checking them out!
