Make Abundance Your Reality

Abundance means many different things to different people. For me, abundance means a happy family, great friends, a fulfilling career and enough money to enjoy it all. It means having the freedom to take time out to smell the roses.

So tell me, what does abundance mean to you?

How do you feel when you imagine abundance?

Well hold on to that feeling. Because for one weekend, I invite you to live a life of abundance.

A weekend full of…

** Abundant business-building strategies

** Abundant network opportunities

** An abundance of sharp-minded business owners

** A smorgasbord of life-changing info, opportunities and fun-filled excitement.

The weekend I’m talking about is our Inner Sanctum Conference. Usually a closed-door, members-only event, for one time only, we’re opening the doors of our Conference and giving non-members entry so they too can feast on the smorgasbord of business boosting information on offer.

I invite you, right now, to come along.

Just joined

We just joined today, and we're planning on blogging everday! By we're I mean me and my friend, Brittney.

So I just heard that Miley Cyrus has had yet another photo scandal. At first I felt sorry for her, but now I'm just annoyed. She says she's sorry but yet she keeps taking slutty pictures. You would think this girl would learn to stop taking pictures. She isn't just another teenager anymore, shes a "celebrity" kids look up to her, if she keeps this up I think disney will fire her. What is up with all of the new disney stars being sluts? Coincidence? I don't think so. Maybe Disney should find some girls who are serious about acting and being a role model, not kids who just want to make money and be famous.

What do you think Brittney?

I agree with most of what your saying. Miley Cyrus is a beloved Disney Channel star. Kids look up to her for advice and she needs to learn to stop taking pictures that she will soon regret. However I don't think Disney is going to fire her, she is a great actress and singer, she has the potential to be successful. Also if Miley Cyrus does get fired, her whole career is over, Disney Channel owns Hannah Montana,  I think they will keep her on Disney for as long as possible because they can still make alot of money off of Miley, Kids will still watch her show whether she takes slutty pictures or not. Eventualy though, her show will slowly get less popular and Miley will grow up, and if she keeps this up nobody will hire her for anything else.

weirdest thing ever, I JUST MET MY FUTURE SELF!

hi sweetheart! (if you are reading this you surely are a sweetheart!) today was one of the weirdest days ever, I was with some friends in school, and we were talking while "doing" the computing asignment. the converasation was something like this:

Emi: "hey, do you know there's a teacher with your exact same haircut??"

Me: "I know who you are talking about, but we have diferent haircuts, mine's better lol"

Emi: "I'm telling you, it's the same haircut!!! I saw her!"

Me: "I know! I saw her too. She's short, with black short hair and very light skin, she's studying translation..."

and that was when I realised I was just descriving myself in some years. I'm short, I have short black hair, my skin isn't that tanned, and I want to study translation when I get out of school!!  it really was funny, but it got me thinking about where I'm going to be in 10 years from now. so I decided to write a ist of my interest, so I can see where I can be headed.

My interests: # Theatre. I started going to drama classes some years ago, and I loved it! I became so outgoing, I lost almost all the fear of talking in front of an audince, and I made some pretty amazing friends (one of them likes my sister XD)
# Comedy: I consider myself a pretty funny person, and after watching some marathons of stand up comedy, I really liked it, you make fun of your own problems, and I CAN DO THAT, in fact I do that every day. I became a fan of Ellen DeGeneres and Mo'nique.
#Music, I come froma very musicakl family, so they influenced me a lot when it comes to hobbies.
#Speaking, I just love a good conversation!!

I don't know what I'm going to do in 10 years, but I hope I get to do any of the ones in my list. they are my golden dreams.

6 Tips for Landing Your Dream Job

Do you have a job that's just like everyone else's? Are you looking for a 9-to-5, but wish you weren't? Do you wish there was another option, one that would lead to an exciting, unique, and fulfilling line of work?

I recently interviewed more than 100 people who currently hold their dream jobs as research for a new book called "How'd You Score That Gig?" These individuals, who are travel journalists, event planners, fashion designers, forensic scientists, interior decorators, Internet business owners and more, have one thing in common -- persistence.

As unattainable as a dream job might sound, with the right amount of forethought and preparation, you can make the move as well. Following are six tips to get you started.

1. Learn about yourself.

Take time to do a self-assessment of your values, how you like to work, and what you'd be compelled to do even if you never got paid. Research careers and industries that map to your skills and interests. Hit the Internet, set up informational interviews, take relevant coursework, and arrange to go onsite at a company in your chosen field.

2. Don't be deterred by a lack of experience.

In developing a resume and other promotional materials for the field you want to pursue, think about how your current skills and talents apply to the responsibilities you'll hold in the new job. For example, knowledge of project management, client relations, information technology, and sales will take you far in most types of careers.

3. Ease into a new career one foot at a time.

Perhaps this means earning a paycheck at your current job while doing a part-time internship in your new field, or taking an adult education class or workshop on the weekend. The only way to find out if you're passionate about something is to try it -- ideally with as little risk as you can manage.

4. Remember that any progress is good progress.

Even confident people stay in unsatisfying jobs because they feel safe, and because they're afraid of making a bad decision. But in the quest to uncover a source of meaningful work, though, your worst enemy is inertia. Make an effort to do one thing, like emailing a networking contact or attending an event -- that moves you a bit closer to your big-picture goal.

5. Start early.

Twenty- and thirty-somethings have more flexibility when it comes to test-driving different careers. The process of self-discovery is much easier when you're unencumbered by family responsibilities and substantial financial burdens, and when you haven't yet reached a level in a career where it's tougher to turn back. That said, it's never too late to pursue your passion. More and more baby boomers are leaving the world of traditional employment for alternative career paths that will fulfill them well into retirement age.

6. Have realistic expectations.

Even if you're lucky enough to hold your dream job, there's no such thing as the perfect work situation. Every job has its ups and downs, and aspects we love and aspects we don't love. And "dream job" doesn't mean "cushy job." As your mom always told you, anything worth having in this world requires some effort. There will be some days you feel like shutting the alarm off and going back to sleep, but many more where you feel more energized by the prospect of work than you ever thought possible!

THE STRUGGLE FOR FAME, GLAMOUR AND MONEY

CHAPTER 1

Amy Watts always had a dream, a dream to become a famous model, she always wanted to walk her walk with style and class in front of many people and she always wanted to have paparazzi chase her down the street snapping photos of her every move. Amy Watts wanted this so bad she wanted fame, glamour and fortune; she wanted people to love her and recognize her wherever she went. But unfortunately Amy Watts wasn’t a famous model, she wasn’t idolized by many and she didn’t have the fortune she wished she could have. “Why am I not famous?” Amy said to herself out loud, “Why am I not?” she said once again. Amy broke down into tears she couldn’t help herself she tried to reach her dream of becoming a famous model for 2 whole years, but still after 2 years Amy hadn’t reached her goal and she didn’t understand why. “I worked so hard for 2 whole years!” cried Amy as she threw herself onto her bed, “I’ve taken more than 10,000 photos, flew to 10 different countries for photo shoots and all the times I’ve been rejected…countless!” cried Amy at the top of her lungs. Amy was devastated she sunk her face into her pillow and screamed madly until her throat went all dry. “Look at me I’m such a mess” said Amy as she gazed at her reflection in the mirror wiping mascara from her teary eyes, “What am I going to do now? My dreams of becoming a model are over, I’m broke from spending money on flights, hotels, clothes and food and I don’t even have enough money to pay this weeks rent, I’m down to my last $25!” said Amy as she bit her bottom lip in fear. Amy was in deep trouble she was worried and confused she only had one choice left and this choice wasn’t a very pleasant one at all… she had to take her ex-boyfriend back.

Amy’s ex-boyfriend Daniel a.k.a Dud, was desperate to have her back he sent Amy hand written letters every fortnight and they had already broken up for 1 year. Daniel was obsessed with Amy, every now and then he would leave a desperate message on Amy’s phone expressing his feelings for her and how he and she were meant to be, Amy always deleted Daniel’s messages she didn’t love him at all. Daniel came from quite a wealthy family he had a lawyer for a father and a nurse for a mother, Daniel’s parents provided him with money whenever he needed it he even used some of his parents’ money to buy Amy clothes and jewellery when he and Amy where still a couple. But there came a day where Daniel became a pain in the neck he was always interfering with Amy’s life and he always accused Amy of cheating on him, Amy got sick of his behavior and so she dumped Daniel, Amy thought this was the best decision she had ever made in her entire life…Until now! Amy needed Daniel she needed his money (more like his parents’ money) she needed a place to stay as she couldn’t afford to pay her rent, she needed the luxury that Daniel once gave her and so she decided to call Daniel and tell him she was willing to give him a second chance. Of course Amy didn’t really want Daniel back she just wanted money and a home to stay in, but she was willing to put her love life on hold so long as she could have money and shelter. Amy worried as she dialed Daniel’s number and waited for him to pick up what if Daniel didn’t want her back? What if he had changed his mind about Amy…? “Hello” said Daniel, “Ah, hi it’s ah me Amy listen I was thinking maybe we should give it another go” said Amy calmly, “Really? You really think we could be friends?” said Daniel. Amy’s heart stopped Daniel had just said friends. “Ah did you just say friends? I thought I thought you wanted me back you know as a well um you know errr me and you um well a couple?” said Amy nervously. “What?! No Amy I didn’t mean it like that” said Daniel as he let out a small laugh “But you said, in all your letters you wanted me back! You said how me and you were meant to be?” said Amy as her heart started pounding in her chest. “Amy I’m sorry, I meant we were meant to be friends not lovers? I’ve moved on Amy you see my wife is pregnant with her first child I just wanted to be friends” said Daniel. Amy couldn’t believe what she was hearing this whole time she had thought Daniel wanted to be lovers when really he just wanted to be friends. Amy hung up on Daniel her fists were trembling, her eyes were burning and her stomach dropped six feet under in a flash. Amy suddenly felt extremely sick so sick she could - “Blarrrrrr”… vomit!

Amy was in the worst condition yet; mascara running down her face, vomit trickling down her shirt, rejected by her ex-boyfriend, rejected from her dream career and to top it all off she was broke. “KNOCK KNOCK” a knock suddenly sounded from Amy’s wooden door, Amy was in no state to open that door so she didn’t open it instead she sat silently on the floor while she thought about how miserable her life had become. “I’ve come to collect your rent money” said the man behind Amy’s door. “I know your there I heard you making a racquet from your room a minute ago” said the man. “Go away nobody’s home” sobbed Amy. “Listen I’m going to need that $50 if you don’t hand it over I’m going to have to – “This is what’s left of my money” said Amy as she opened her door and handed over her last $25. The man stared at Amy in shock he saw the vomit on Amy’s shirt and took one huge step back. “I’m going to need another errrrm $25” said the man as he held his nose and looked at Amy in disgust. “I don’t have any money left it was my-my-my last bit of money left…” said Amy in a weak voice that sounded almost like a whisper. “Look I’m sorry that you ahh well have no money left but I’m only giving you 24 hours to hand the rest of the money over, If you don’t pay up well you’re out of here” said the man as he walked away from Amy’s room. Amy was a goner she didn’t no what to do, she was most likely going to be on the streets begging for money in just 24 hours!
