we all do the choosing, its weather you play to lose
hurrays and boos which side to amuse?
the goose the gander, automatic or standard?
the nail to the hammer, the sail or the anchored?
I'm a man anguished in my own armored of anger
an author here to offer , an alternate train of thought
fought the same onslaughts that many have lost
the cost of living, poverty stricken
public house restrictions, plots like Charles Dickens
is it one shot to live or live for one shot
its a big big world, yet I'm trap in a box
trying to unwrap these thoughts to think outside the lot
got a grip on reality, the missteps and mistakes
the fake smiles and waves, half hearted handshakes
for its a make or break world and we all scrape the plate
