The New Liberal Burqa is here and now.
It's happened because some women from Islamic countries want to be sex symbols, just like their Western contemporaries. They have decided that they aren't going to take male-dominated opression any more, for any reason.
The Burka Band - an Afghan all-girl band has become a hit in Germany:
You give me all your love,
you give me all your kisses,
and then you touch my burqa,
and don't know who it is...
"Burka, burka bluuueee" they sing, in ironic lyrics that still manage to tell the tale of how Afghan women had been oppressed by the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
