Allow me to introduce the new girl in Buzznet-town, Scarlet Madeline. This 19 year-old powerhouse is founder and owner of Darla Makeup, a vegan, cruelty-free line full of fierce (and mad affordable) colors. She sent me the most adorbz press kit and it's been swell chatting with her, so I thought I'd point you toward a chick with some know-how and passion in the world. Party!

Sometimes the best comments are not knee-slappers, sometimes they just... make sense. Today's quotable accolade goes to IkkyG, who, after 249 comments from vegans, meat-eaters and neutral parties, called a truce. tbh, I think this whole debated has decended into petty personal attacks, which is lame. I think the most important thing is that
a) not all vegetarians are tree hugging whack jobs
b) not all meat eaters are heartless baby-animal killers.
I think compromise is genuinely possible. If meat eaters ate less meat, it would reduce the amount of emissons from farming, place less pressure on countries to clear forests, and genuinely be better for people to eat more vegetables and nuts.
