I'm waiting for their next album to come out to see how I feel about My Chem. But its for the best that I stay away from the forum. Not only is it addicting, but Ive also been getting into arguments lately.

Yeah, l've noticed that too. For what l've read, you don't feel the same about them anymore, right? and you are just waiting for the next one to move on or stay. l know you have all the right to express your opinion even though, as you may imagine, l don't share it. But l respect you because l consider you my friend. We can talk about other things as we have always done, our conversations don't involve MCR all the time and that's cool. But if you're being attacked and don't feel confortable then it's good that you stay away for a while. Things heat up pretty fast in the forum and fans turn against each other really easy. Sometimes it's really disappointing, really sad. But as V said the band affects each fan in a different and unique way. Maybe you just need to take a break from the band for a while, don't you think? Thanks :D I do love their older stuff and always will. But Black Parade and more recent songs have been disappointing to me. Some people don't understand and they think you have to love every single song or you're not a true fan. I'm glad you understand.
I think the best thing about My Chemical Romance that Ive recently discovered, is that I can walk away and it wont be the end of the world. I can leave knowing that their older music represents a few years of my life and had a huge impact on the person I am. I don't have to be sad about leaving off, because I know when I was screaming and singing along at their concerts I felt something special. And every time I hear my favorite songs, I get that same feeling. That feeling doesn't come with every band, so I know MCR are amazing for that alone. :]

You're welcome hun *hugs* l always try to avoid the forum because l hate all the fighting, it makes me feel uneasy and sad. But yeah, l understand. l love MCR and l owe them a lot but don't think that l consider them perfect. l think that's a mistake. There are things l don't like and that l don't understand about them but l always try to put myself in their shoes to see if l can come up with an explanation. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. But l love their music. l love some songs more than others, some of Bullets' songs are my fav and mean a lot to me. And despite what many think about TBP, that's an especial album to me too. Some of its lyrics have helped me a lot, like Famous last words or WTTBP because some of the lines there applied to things l've been through. But not everybody has to feel the same. MCR is different in so many aspects, especially in the way they affect people. To be honest, l really don't know what is it with them that have such an impact in my life, for example. lt's overwhelming *sighs* And l wish l could just chill out like you said but l can't. Maybe someday but certainly not now. Feel free to give me a life as a present, l would really appreciate it xD

I always wonder why they have so many fans who are dedicated and become so involved in the band. They also have saved many lives. 1 in 3 MCR fans claims the band saved their life. I wonder how they can have such an impact, when other bands don't. Ive heard many bands who are technically better than My Chem, but the fans are not nearly as obsessive. Its such a mystery to me.
And I will be happy to get you a life, just as soon as I get one lol.

l know! lt's a mistery to me too. Everytime l talk about this with my mom (lame, l know, LOL) l tell her the same thing, that l really have no clue what is it about them. Now, they have so much power over me that is not funny or healthy. That's why sometimes l say "l want my life back" cuz l don't think l have it anymore! And sometimes is frustrating, to the point l get really depressed you know? V has helped me a lot, you have no idea. l'm always trying to find an explanation but nothing comes up. They keep me alive Natasha and l'm serious about that. Take them away from me and l'll be nothing at all. Everything l do involves them in some way. Sometimes l feel like running away, like escaping from them or something like that. But l can't. Or maybe l don't want to. l don't know anymore *sighs* And you're right! Take the BSB for example, they were huge and world famous for a while but l don't think any of their fans felt the way some of MCR fans do. l think l need therapy. lf l ever go to a shrink, l'll ask him about this. l don't know where else l could find a logical reason.

I think that it might be the messages of the first two albums that get to me. Gerard wrote the first two when he was suicidal and thats a powerful emotion and people can connect with that. But then I have to argue that, well what about other artists/bands who were suicidal? What about Kurt Cobain? He does have dedicated fans, but somehow they're not like My Chemical Romances fans. I want to ask Gerard for his opinion on this...

Yeah, that's probably the reason. Friends *sighs* my so call friends gave me weird looks cuz l'm a MCR fan. But hey, at least my life is not empty *shrugs* l remember the first time l watched LOTMS, Gerard said something like this (not the exact words) "The dangerous thing is when you see suicide as an escape" That hit me cuz that's exactly what l felt! l was like "damn! l wasn't crazy after all! Someone FINALLY knows what it's like" They really help you to keep going, somehow. People used to treat me as their rug and since l like MCR everything is different. l don't let anyone hurt me or get to me like before. l had an abusive friend who loved to boss me around and thanks to the guys things changed. She can't control me anymore. They are the turning point in my life. Woah, Kurt Cobain. He was awesome. l read somewhere that Gerard is an empathic person, maybe that's the reason. lt would be cool to ask him and listen to what his (l bet pretty long) explanation would be. yeah, I bet he would take a year to talk this one over. God forbid if hes chewing gum lol. I remember that line from LOTMS too. Its hard for me to watch LOTMS because of all the footage of Gerard drinking. The worst part is when hes throwing up next to the bus. I can see it happening in my mind and the I see Frankie going over to him to help him up and dust him off. Thats really why I love Frankie so much. You could tell he cares so much about Gerard and the rest of the guys.
