Great list. I should start collecting Buddhas. =DD
1. Many are afraid of flying, and suddenly find one day that the fear has gone. Go figure.
2. Please keep photographing for at least 50 years more!
3. Your obsession with The Butcher is shared with others, as you can see.
4. Elton's "Tiny Dancer" is one of his best!
5. If you studied Ancient Greek History, then you are better prepared to face the world today.
6. Staying best friends with someone from Grade 3 is amazing!
7. You collect Buddhas, I collect dolphins.
8. Being named after the character Lara from the film Dr Zhivago is lovely!
And have your ever lead the song "Lara's Theme" from the film, composed in 1965 by Maurice Jarre? After several unsuccessful attempts at writing it, Zhivago's director David Lean suggested to Jarre that he go to the mountains with his girlfriend and write a piece of music for her. Jarre says that the resultant piece was "Lara's Theme", and Lean liked it well enough to use it in numerous tracks for the film... and to this day it's the most memorable and recognizeable piece of music from the film.
It's a wonderful list!
And thankyou for your responses! And indeed having the same best friend since Grade 3 has been amazing. We have grown-up together and even though we now live over 1500km's apart we still talk all the time and instinctually sense when something is happening to the other person! It IS amazing.
