Remember those cool compilations put together by a handful of bands? You know Punk Goes 90's, Punk Goes Pop, Punk Goes Metal, etc. With the release of the motion picture Across the Universe I wondered, how cool would it be if they did a compilation in which bands cover Beatles songs? Who do you think would be the best band fit for the job and what song should they do?
We’re not talking your average caught-in-bed, drug, or tabloid scandals. Those are so cliché we have decided not to bother. Rather, we dug out the TRUE abnormalities in rock. The creepy. The gross. The controversial. The over-publicized. The tragic, The ironic. The just-plain tacky… All the freakish extremes. We were able to narrow it down to ten, but we need you to narrow it down to one. But choose carefully. We’ve got mass murders, pedophilia, the KKK, and methods of ingestion. Warning: when we say this stuff extreme, we mean it

We all have a band that we credit with igniting our passion in music. It may be the Beatles the Rolling Stones or more recent bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers or Nirvana. Question is...... can bands of the moment stand up and survive as Icons of rock? In 10 years time will the youth of the future be naming Fall Out Boy, Paramore and 30 Seconds to Mars as thier ultimate musical discovery? Have My Chemical Romance got what it takes to ride the wave of instant popularity and become an inspiration for rock bands in years to come? Or not? Im relying on you to tell me what you think:
Some people say that the 00's are the most difficult time to be a teenager. With youth violence and teen suicide on the rise and world affairs balancing on a knife edge - are they right? Or does the music and culture of today make up for it? If youre a teen now, do you wish you'd grown up in another decade? Or if you did your teens already - tell us what you loved about your era.....If you want to expand - leave a comment
