October 8, 2009And you can set sail to the west if you want to, pass the horizon 'til I can't even see you, far from here where the beaches are wide.i've always loved the beach. i have so many memories from my childhood, building sandcastles, spending hours in the waves and by the water. i've always lived by the sea. i could never be far from it. i spent a few months in pennsylvania last year, and all i yearned for was warm sand and waves. thats what summer is to me. its salty breeze, long nights, and sand between my toes. the beach is my second home year round, but theres something magical about summer. its just around the corner. this year has flown by with incredible speed. where does time go? in any case, this summer i plan to live it up. i'll be working- yes, i got the job, as mundane as it might be the people are really nice and the money will get me out of home, and onto the next phase of my life. its time to grow up a little, well, grow out if you will. i suffer peter pan syndrome. i still love everything i did when i was five. disney movies, bubbles, sparklers, fire works, laughter, friends and immature humour. i'm basically a five year old thats partial to tequila. but also this summer will be spent working hard, and playing hard. time to meet new people. time to get myself to where i want to be. time to stop wondering, stop planning and start doing. no more holding myself back. there are so many things to try, so many things to do. i hear ticking in my ears. maybe its a sign? anyways. this week has been rough with the onset of daylight savings. see previous rant and you'll gage my disliking to it. first week back from a week off uni, and it feels like we had no break at all. lots of work to do. lots to complete. tuesday i ran late. i'm organzing a CD launch event for next wednesday and its all very stressful. i've been on the phone to Audio engineers talking in DI box, mic leads and PA system language, but its all very exciting as its finally coming together. the albums called Unlimited Potential and its a compilation of 10 australian based bands as well as one from America and New Zealand. the tracks range from garage punk to indie folk and its got a great vibe. we've got loads of copies and are mailing them around to anyone who's interested. this projects been a great insight into the industry. i love it. today i skipped uni in favor of sleeping away a headache before running down to sign papers at work and fill out forms for tax and all that fun stuff. tonight, kimi and bec and i went down to mt martha and had dinner at this bistro on the beach. its such a nice place, i go there in summer for their amazing coffee in the mornings before a nice swim and sun session. the mornington peninsula is such a different world to melbourne city life. i love the city, i'm moving up there soon. but the peninsula and the bay will always be home. its so beautiful. its like the hamptons to new york. a world away. a bottle of moscato and roasted mushroom soup. yum. we ordered roasted potato with rosmary. whoever says its hard to be vegetarian is sorely mistaken. i love it. we shared toblorone cheesecake for desert. it was so lush, but two spoonfulls was more than enough for me. driving home down the esplenade along the beach was the perfect end to a low key dinner with the girls. lots of laughter. pleanty of catch up and more, and more plans. its always nice to spend time with the people you care about and who really make you happy. my friends and family, my dolls and my loveys. i wouldn't have it any other way. much love. cuddles and a poof of glitter under the stars. x

August 24, 2009can't you see my disease? So Saturday night I went clubbing for the first time ever! This summer has been really boring for me so far and I haven't been taking advantage of my 19-ness. It was really fun, I danced with Kyle and Jordan and felt basically sexy :) Me and Jordan messed around at his apartment which was awesome.<3 (scooore) I've liked him forever... Only problem being, he said he didn't want to be in a relationship yet as we were walking back. I just smiled and said that's fine, The funny thing is that he told me his ex was a total psychobitch... I'm still trying to get over my ex myself... I wish he would take me back, because I really miss the comfort of having someone be there for me no matter what, and someone to share those special moments in my life with. He has a new girlfriend, and it makes me mad that he prefers skinnier girls than me. No matter what I do it never fails to fall short somehow. I wish someone would give me a quick fix secret to dieting. I've been drinking a lot of water lately and reducing portion size. Hopefully that will do the trick along with with my walking regime. I WANT THESE!!!
I'm going to Shediac Beach NB the day after tomorrow, it's gonna be loads of fun even though the forecast calls for rain... I don't care what the weatherman says, we're all going because there's nothing I love better then the beach. It has a certain magic... and maybe after the rain I'll see a rainbow :) I've been stuck with no job for the whole summer which has been a real bummer for me with no money = nothing to do but work on my art and writing, which I haven't been doing much of either. Lotta lazing around watching old movies on TCM. It's been fun, but I can't wait for the month of August to be over so I can watch my sister complain about going back to school... I'm really starting to miss my high school days in retrospect, really. I hope I get into university next year.
The first thing on my list to buy after I've saved up enough money, is a really nice camera so I can get back into photography... this pic is so awe-inspiring and beautiful it makes me want to be a better person. After this fall I think I'll have made enough new years resolutions I can keep my promises once and for all. I still have to go drop off my resume a few more times so people get the idea that I'm really serious about working this fall. I don't care if it's an office job or working the grill, I gotta make that slow dollar or else hustle my way through life. -Liz

August 21, 2009"The Beach" by All Time LowWhy is this the song of the summer? "Well they can take, take, take, the kids from the summer, but you'll never, never, never, take the summer from me." "The Beach" by All Time Low is such a feel good song. It's upbeat, bubbly, dancey, and awesome all around. It's fun to goof around to, or to blast through your speakers on your annual summer road trip. Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but to get up and dance or sing along. To me, this song represents summer and childhood, two things that will always go hand in hand. It translates the feeling you get in your chest when you hear that last school bell ring, and you know you're free for the next few months. It's the music that's in your heart when you cross off that first day of summer on your calendar. It's everything that summer is put together in words and a melody. That feeling of never wanting to let go, and wishing it would never end. Those summer flings and hangs, and the heartbreak and experience you get. And the fact that no matter what happens, there are never any regrets. Everything that happens in a summer, defines that summer. Summer is unique to everyone, just like this song. I'm a kid. Forever. Always. I know that they will never be able to take the summer for me.

July 25, 2009OoopsHaven't posted in a while. Hmm what has happened... I got a zoom lens, the movie Coraline, and I went to legoland for a few days plus the beach. The giant legos were cool but the rides were pretty lame. My sister had fun though. That means it's for ages like two-eight. There was one awesome ride though. Took tons of pictures.
I turned SEVENTEEN on July 13th :D I had a pretty good birthday. I got tons of money haha. Got a bunch of good stuffs. And still have quite a bit of money left. I went to pizza hut with family and my boyfriend. Had yummy pizza and an ice cream cake. Then went to the movies with my friends. We saw bruno ha. Very interesting, it was funny but very gross. Our old teacher was there too so that was funny.
I also went to Las Vegas on the 24th. I endured the loooong drive to see the one and only BLINK-182!!! They have been my favorite band since the fourth grade and this was my first time seeing them. You can't imagine my excitement ;D Of course they were everything I expected and more. I got a tank top, limited tour edition bunny, a smiley pin, and a bracelet. I snuck in my canon slr ,hehe, so I got some pretty good pictures. They played my two favorite songs by them, All the small things and Not now. I was sosososo happy! Valencia and Motion City Soundtrack played as well. They were pretty good. I even got valencia's cd. After the show I was way tired and very hungry. We walked across the street to cvs pharmacy for drinks then across the street again for some noodles. They were good but too traditional for me. The waitress kept starting at us and rushed over as soon as we took a drink of our waters ha. They played at The Joint, which is in the hard rock hotel, so I stayed there. Very cool hotel, I've never been. They have elevators with song lyrics, leopard floors, and leather studded walls not to mention all the awesome rock memorabilia. I saw tom and mark's guitars from when they played the joint in 2oo4, a michael jackson oufit, plus many others. On the way back I saw the famous "shoe" tree and took some pictures.
I also took my permit test recently and PASSED! Only took it one time and missed six, I was so proud lol. So I will be on the road soon and I can't wait. I'm hoping to do more by being able to drive, fingers crossed. My driver's training lesson is on thursday. Hope I'm not too horrible. The summer's almost over, so disappointing. The last highlight, I think, will be warped tour. Me and my friends will be attending the August 22nd, date. I can't wait. I love warped. I'm a little upset that LIGHTS took off dates though. It should still be tons of fun. It always is :)
linkssss: feel free to add me :]

July 21, 2009I just got back from Spain!July 20th, 2009 I just got back from Spain! The travel was hard especially going there for only one show but, it was Spain none the less… I always love traveling to other countries and seeing how people live. It gives me an appreciation for things I have as well as things I don’t have. A few years ago I was I Barcelona for a month working (playing) at a club and it was very eye opening. Taking time in the middle of the day for personal things whether it be rest or errands or whatever… 2 hour + meals, the need for vacations…down time is important. Being a driver or a waiter or most of the things that we, especially here in So Cal see as a necessary evil until we get our big break, seem to be OK. A bartender and I had a conversation about this very thing and he was happy to make enough money to spend time with Family and friends and go on vacation. I’m sure there are exceptions but it seems to be a common way of looking at life. OK, back to the Pensicola Jazz festival it’s about 2 1/2 hours outside of Barcelona and is a beautiful seaside village with a Castle! Everyone there is beautiful in their own way, some more so than others in bathing attire but no one seems to care about what you think. I won’t be getting a speedo anytime soon but I love the attitude. I’m not sure if the food was REALLY better than here but just being there made it taste good. After the show several people came up to us as we were standing outside waiting to leave and just about everyone came up and said, “congratulations” as if we had won something. It was a great crowd. They were very appreciative and responsive. The attitude about music is the same as food and vacations… a vital part of life. I can’t wait until I’m performing MY music live in front of these wonderful people! Until next time… Peace, love, happiness! jc

July 10, 2009You're sellin' out souls but I care about mineHello. Hello. Hello. I have been veeery busy with my summer to update anything here so now it's time to do so! Still obsessed with Scream and I have no idea when it's going to stop! :D I saw this movie the day before yesterday - The Hitcher. I thought it was pretty funny and a little bit stupid but I still liked it! I was kind of glad when the guy got ripped apart (man, spoilers!) because he was insanely stupid from my point of view. I have also started watching (though it's taking me a long time) Supernatural. It is reeealy frightening! I heard that it's a lot like Buffy the vampire slayer but Buffy was not even remotely this scary! I also have a new Youtube channel - 60s Pludmales Ponijs . If you want to add me please do so! It's very new so I just have one friend (booooring)! Have you done anything fun lately? Something that's summer-like? I am planning on going to this country music festival tomorrow. I am 99.99999% sure that it will be fun! Then next week I am planning on going to the beach. Last week I had to go to my brother's graduation (graduation from college). I was really excited! I almost cried though :D The problem was that I think I was even happier than my brother that day! So that meant I was over shadowing him. Maybe I'll put in some pictures from the graduation. That's it for now!
