Breezy (gummibearsss1) sent me a lovely chocolate recipe book recently so today I made some chocolate chunk cookies from it, with both white and dark chocolate in them - delicious!

I hope that everyone had an AMAZING Christmas and for those who don't celebrate it, I hope you had an AMAZING Tuesday!

We had Dec's mum here for xmas which was a lovely change. I was in charge of the xmas meal and I also baked some chocolate and mint cuppycakes! We had a lovely morning, opening presents and giving Dusty her presents too. She got a wonderful new ball toy from Irene (MimiK) and Dec and I bought her a fluffy igloo that she's very happy with ^_^

Today, I spoke to my family which was lovely and got to see my neice and nephew on FaceTime. That was really fun, they were showing me all the presents that 'Father Christmas' had gotten for them hehe

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeps! It's nearly Christmas! I can't believe it's just round the corner, it's time to get out the Christmas movies (my favourite is the Muppets Christmas Carol) and start munching on ALL THE CANDY!!!!

Today, I've taken some time out for myself, things have getting a little complicated at the moment so it was good to take a breath. I baked some peanut butter booster bars this morning with cranberries and blueberries, then this afternoon I decorated the Christmas tree and finished wrapping up some presents ^_^ Dec has been at work all day so the tree will be a surprise for when he gets back hehe

As you can see, Dusty has been a super helpful kitty today, she pretty much just slept and then tried to eat the tree haha

I hope that everyone is ok!

The only reason I`m posting this photo is because the clouds look so cute :D

Few things happened today but my day was very average. There was a giant brown spider, about 8 centimetres, in the freshly washed clothes what freaked me out. I was holding those clothes in my hands before!!!

And I was home alone today so I cooked. Speaking of cooking, I started to watch the Great British Bake Off because everyone was tweeting about it. Therefore I got hungry and tomorrow I need to bake something. I`ve seen delicious things on that show.

3 days to go until Paris! Cecile asked her boyfriend - who knows the city very well - to guide us one afternoon so it will be fun but I wish Cecile could be with us too. I miss our late 5 o`clock tea afternoons.

I made this for my dear neighbor Karen who just celebrated her birthday, I overheard her say this was her favourite cake so I knew it would be the perfect present ^^*

I haven't baked in quite a while and this was so much fun, especialy arranging the strawberries :3

It's pouring again today after only 2 dry days - I am fed up with all this rain now! To console myself after taking Hovis for a wet walk I tried a new recipe I saw online for Salted Caramel Cupcakes and they came out pretty good - though I will probably tweak the recipe a bit next time I make them!
