I love dried up dead flowers. We fill the fireplace with the ones from the garden after they wilt in vases and then start the first fire with them.

Actually the vase thing has become a problem because the cats LOVE to eat weeds, which Steven picks for them and brings in. So they like to investigate all plant life brought in from outside and broke TWO glass things this week (actually one was a candle holder) which had been on the mantle. I think we have to move to wall-mounted vases or something. Or pretty funky plastic.
