Avenged Sevenfold photos

It's with sadness that we have to post this news, but it's been confirmed that James "The Rev" Sullivan, drummer for Orange County metal band Avenged Sevenfold, has passed away at age 28. The band confirmed this on their own site today.

Avenged Sevenfold have had a hell of a 2008 already. Their fiery headlining performances on Taste of Chaos have already become stuff of legend – although the band did have its detractors – and they're already turning around a DVD that will immortalize the last show, held in Long Beach on April 10 (which Buzznet was lucky enough to attend).
