And you can set sail to the west if you want to, pass the horizon 'til I can't even see you, far from here where the beaches are wide.

i've always loved the beach. i have so many memories from my childhood, building sandcastles, spending hours in the waves and by the water. i've always lived by the sea. i could never be far from it. i spent a few months in pennsylvania last year, and all i yearned for was warm sand and waves. thats what summer is to me. its salty breeze, long nights, and sand between my toes. the beach is my second home year round, but theres something magical about summer.

its just around the corner. this year has flown by with incredible speed. where does time go?

in any case, this summer i plan to live it up. i'll be working- yes, i got the job, as mundane as it might be the people are really nice and the money will get me out of home, and onto the next phase of my life. its time to grow up a little, well, grow out if you will. i suffer peter pan syndrome. i still love everything i did when i was five. disney movies, bubbles, sparklers, fire works, laughter, friends and immature humour. i'm basically a five year old thats partial to tequila.

but also this summer will be spent working hard, and playing hard. time to meet new people. time to get myself to where i want to be. time to stop wondering, stop planning and start doing. no more holding myself back. there are so many things to try, so many things to do. i hear ticking in my ears. maybe its a sign?

anyways. this week has been rough with the onset of daylight savings. see previous rant and you'll gage my disliking to it. first week back from a week off uni, and it feels like we had no break at all. lots of work to do. lots to complete. tuesday i ran late. i'm organzing a CD launch event for next wednesday and its all very stressful. i've been on the phone to Audio engineers talking in DI box, mic leads and PA system language, but its all very exciting as its finally coming together. the albums called Unlimited Potential and its a compilation of 10 australian based bands as well as one from America and New Zealand. the tracks range from garage punk to indie folk and its got a great vibe. we've got loads of copies and are mailing them around to anyone who's interested.

this projects been a great insight into the industry. i love it.

today i skipped uni in favor of sleeping away a headache before running down to sign papers at work and fill out forms for tax and all that fun stuff. tonight, kimi and bec and i went down to mt martha and had dinner at this bistro on the beach. its such a nice place, i go there in summer for their amazing coffee in the mornings before a nice swim and sun session. the mornington peninsula is such a different world to melbourne city life. i love the city, i'm moving up there soon. but the peninsula and the bay will always be home. its so beautiful. its like the hamptons to new york. a world away.

a bottle of moscato and roasted mushroom soup. yum. we ordered roasted potato with rosmary. whoever says its hard to be vegetarian is sorely mistaken. i love it. we shared toblorone cheesecake for desert. it was so lush, but two spoonfulls was more than enough for me. driving home down the esplenade along the beach was the perfect end to a low key dinner with the girls. lots of laughter. pleanty of catch up and more, and more plans. its always nice to spend time with the people you care about and who really make you happy. my friends and family, my dolls and my loveys. i wouldn't have it any other way.

much love. cuddles and a poof of glitter under the stars.
