To the elements.
I don’t need no stinking gas. I locomote with peddle power.

This post is dedicated to albertshaler . I was a bit reticent of doing so, and drawing unwanted attention to his unspoilt corner of buzznet, but really I enjoy glimpsing into his world, which is at once familiar (the countryside is not dissimilar to Wales), and alien (the artifacts and effects of Nazi and Soviet occupation).
I don’t know much about him but I don’t need to, his pictures tell such an interesting history.
He lives in Prague, and he posts many pictures from there. Particularly fascinating are the ones from the cemetries, but he also makes trips to the Albertshal region where it appear members of his family are renovating old properties, and areas that still hold deep memories of the Nazi occupation. He loves beer and mushrooms. If he sees this he may well correct any mistakes that I have made in this narrative.

I suppose this pic reminded me of him, because of the dereliction, and the bygone era, and that there is history still hanging on.

He does have a lot of fascinating pictures, I've notice.

Maybe the wilds will reclaim this gas station like the temples at Angkor Wat.

If I hadnt dedicated this to albertshaler, I would probably have talked up the end of cheap oil, and time to start peddling.

I love this. There are so many abandoned one now, I'm not sure if it's the fuel prices or I just seem to notice them more now.

AlbertShaler is amazing.

Thats a very nice "Anglo" gas station. It could be transformed into a museum very easily. Thanks for the dedication Rhi!
