Dating

What's a better place to hook up? In person or online? I tried both, and to be honest with you, I've had more success online. The man I met online seemed to more serious about a relationship.

What's your experience with online and offline affairs?

haha this is soo funny. I am talking with a guy online, who lives in my hometown. He saw my profile on a Dutch version of Buzznet and emailed me that he liked my page. So I began to email with him. I saw his picture and he was definately not my type. But he was so nice and I liked to talk with him. He was so serious about everything and I really liked that. But last Thursday I got an email from him, where he asked me out! I didnt sleep that night from nerves aargg. I mean I liked the guy, but then just as a friend. I didnt want to go out with him. So the whole day I was thinking of what to say to the guy. So yesterday evening I finally got the guts, to honestly say that I liked him, but that I didnt want to go out with him.... Now I think I'm a b*tch haha Did I gave him wrong signals?? I dont know,..I still havent heard from him haha.
But I do think that I talk easier online than in person. I feel more at ease when I talk to a guy online. I have more trouble meeting and talking to guys in person.

It's funny... our parents and even our older brothers and sisters (the ones who are in their 30s) wouldn't understand online dating. Yet I guess people our age have been around technology, and sees the possibilities of connecting through technology. I wonder how many people hook up through buzznet.com, MySpace, and the like. Probably a lot.

well I found one new friend (female) on buzznet. We went to a MCR concert together, so that was fun. I never did that before, because I was always sceptical about it. But in Holland many older people get dates through out the Internet. Its a hype here haha. Although my mom doesnt even know where the on and off switch is on the computer haha lol.
I had a lecture (or how you call it?) about meeting people online (sociology). We talked about how important chatrooms are in our culture these days. More and more people are staying home and meet people on the internet, in stead of going out. I inmediately thought of myself on buzznet hahaha. Its sad really haha lol.

I've met cool people online who live in my hometown but I've also met jerks... it depends I guess. As Danielle, I met one of my best friends in a message board so at least we know real friendship can be found online.

I guess that compatibility is the most important thing, whether you're online or not.
