there is something happening to the people of this lifetime. For some reason, we're losing our minds. We have tougher emotions, actions, and we're more drastic. Did you know men are four times more likely to die from suicide than women? Yet, women try three times harder to kill themselves! Why are we so unhappy? What went wrong in the last millenium that everyone is so...harsh?

I got a message from my friend livethewayiwant saying her boyfriend dumped her. i thought to myself "hmm. that sucks." but then she went on to say how he abused he physically and emotionally. How he harrassed her and how he tortured her. How can people do that to other people? Why?! 5.3 million women are abused each year and I know one of them. It hurts me so badly in my heart to be able to say that and I really wish it weren't true. But it is...

I watch all these movies of the older days, where love was true and people had to fight for their loved ones. Now I look around these days and I hear the right words, but I don't see them being shown. High school boys are known for saying "I love you" in order to get in a girls underwear. When did this start? How did it start? The boys have sex with the girls and get them pregnant, and that romantic "i love you" turns into a bitter "stay away from me; it isn't mine." That isn't love. That never was love. What happened to true, swooning, unrealistic, unbelievable, fantastic, incredible love? When did something so perfect turn into something so poisonous?

When did music get so obscene? I listened to a hip-hop radio station and in most of the songs, half of it was rapping, and half was blank from having to edit out the crude parts. Rock, too! My mother was concerned when I played System of a Down's "Violent Pornography" very loudly because she was uncomfortable with the mention of "choking chicks and Sodomy". What ever happened to "yeah-let's-go-get-drunk-and-get-into-trouble-with-the-neighborhood" kinda songs? (not that i have a problem with hip-hop or system of a down) I can't help but wonder...

Im sorry. I'm raving. I'm just so upset and curious and i have all these things going through my head...thank you for reading and i hope you didn't take offense to anything i might've blindly thrown in there. please leave an opinion.
