Lots to say today!

Yesterday was fan-fuckin-tastic!! haha We had band practice and it was soooooo much fun! Honestly the most fun like ever! lol

We tried out this new guitarist named Ethan. He was really good! I'll let ya guys know if he makes the cut after all the other auditions.

Ok so im a liar. lol In my last post i said i'd put the pics up right away but it's gonna take a few days cuz the photographer wanted me to pick which pics i liked the most, then he was gonna fix them up and print off a bunch or whatever. But as soon as i get the fixed ones i'll put em up! =)

So Thanksgiving was fun. We carved the turkey while listening to The All American Rejects haha Wonder what music we'll play for dinner on Christmas..... probably Panic At The Disco or something. lol

I stayed up all thursday night until 12pm on friday so i could catch all the great deals on christmas shopping. lol I got alot of great stuff! Im so excited to give it all away! Im cheesy like that. haha I know what im getting Devin for Christmas too, well it's outta two things. I can't say em though incase he ever looks on here. lol

Well i've got lots to do today so im gonna get to it. So until next time =)

Word to your father,

YESTERDAY!

(OH YES, SORRY ABOUT POOR PICTURE QUALITY MY CAMRA IS RUBBISH. BUT THIS IS FROM THE VERY BACK ANYWAY'S SO THEY WERE BOUND TO BE BAD. TYSON IS WEARING A NATIVE AMERICAN HAT JUST SO YOU KNOW LOL).

YESTERDAY WAS AMAZING!

I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE, GOT A LITTLE KILLED THOUGH. I'M COVERED FROM HEAD TO TOE IN BRUISE'S; GOD I HATER MOSH PIT'S.
BUT ALL AMERICAN REJECT'S WERE REALLY GOOD LIVE :) AND TYSON DIDN'T HAVE HIS CAST THING ON HIS LEG SO I THINK HE MIGHT BE BETTER NOW.

RUNDOWN:

1ST SUPPORT ACT: UP WELL.
THEY WEREN'T VERY GOOD, THE LEAD SINGER WAS TRYING SO HARD TO BE LIKE KING'S OF LEON IT WAS UNBELIEVABLY BAD. :| BUT BLESS THEM FOR TRYING. THEY TRIED TO PLAY SOME CAUGHTY SONG'S BUT FAILED, NONE OF THE CROWD WERE MOVING OR EVEN SMILING THEY WERE JUST SHOUTING ACROSS THE MUSIC TO EACH OTHER. WHEN THE LEAD SINGER SAW THIS WASN'T WORKING HE DECIDED TO START SPITTING ALL OVER THE STAGE AND THIS TOTALLY PUT ME OFF LISTENING ANY FUTHER. HE EVEN SPAT TOWARD'S THE CROWD AT ONE POINT WHICH IS DISGUISTING.

2ND SUPPORT ACT: AMERICAN STEEL.
THESE WERE BETTER THAT THE FIRST BUT AFTER A WHILE GOT BORING BECAUSE ALL THEIR SONG'S SOUNDED THE SAME. YOU COULDN'T TELL WHERE ONE SONG ENDED AND ANOTHER SONG STARTED. WHEN THESE REALISED THEY WERE LOSING THE AUDIENCE THEY DECIDED TO KILL KATY PERRY'S "I KISSED A GIRL" BY TURNING THE CHOURUS INTO SOME KIND OF WEIRD CHANT. IT JUST DIDN'T WORK.

ALL AMERICAN REJECT'S:
BY THE TIME TYSON WAS ON STAGE I'D MOVED SO FAR BACK I COULDN'T SEE A GLIMPS OF HIM BUT TBH I WASN'T BOTHERED ABOUT THAT, I WAS MORE BOTHERED ABOUT HOW PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER AND HOW I'D BEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. IT WASN'T FUN
AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF SONG'S PEOPLE MOVED AND WE HAD A CLEAR SHOT OF THE STAGE, TYSON WAS LOOKING VERY CUTE AND SWEATY AND TOPLESS. THIS WAS A VERY NICE SITE ;) LMHO.
THEY WERE VERY GOOD LIVE, TYSON MAKING JOKES, DANCING AROUND AND THE REST OF THE BAND ALL JOINING IN. IT WAS AN AMZING NIGHT.

"LET'S HEAR ALL THE SAUSAGE'S IN THE HOUSE GO HUH!" - TYSON, MANCHESTER ACADEMY - 15TH OCTOBER 2009.
OH YEAH, I'M STARTING BLOGGING A LOT SO I'M GOING TO PUT MY QUOTE OF THE DAY AT THE END :) JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW WHAT'S GOING THROUGH MY HEAD LMHO.

HUG'S AND KISSE'S, PIMM'S AND CIDER.
BECCA, XO's

the wind blows

I've got to breathe
You can't take that from me
Cause it's all that you left that's mine
You had to leave
And that's all I can see
But you told me your love was blind

There are times
You're so impossible that I should sign a waiver
And you will find
Someone worth walking on when you ask me to go

I'll leave when the wind blows
Take a breath and there it goes
I'll be outside of your window
I'll pass by but I'll go slow
I'll leave when the wind blows

August 18, 2009

my bad.

ok, so im sorry that this is sooo late, but a ton of shit has happened lately (which will be explained later)

so on July 30th, me and my bestest friend Kathleen were going to attend the blink182-falloutboy-allamericanrejects concert. we were so unbelievably stoked and could not wait to get there. we decided to go a little early so that we can find our seats and get some shirts. so we leave at approximetally 5:30. we catch the bus at 5:45 and are making our way smoothly to the 7:00 concert. all is going well until i realize something. i start frantically checking through my bag to make sure that we have everything; camera, cell, wallet. only one thing missing. the tickets. thats right, we forgot the tickets. how stupid can u get? once i realized this i immedietally pull the cord and get off at the next stop. at this point kathleen has no idea why we got off and are running back to my house to get the tickets. i bring her up to speed as we frantically speed-walk to my place.

by the time we get to my house it is 6:00. running behind our schedual, we catch the next bus at 6:15. getting to the grounds at about 6:45, we still have 15 minutes to get inside and get comfy. we are now releaved and happy that we can finally just get to the damn concert. everythings going good until we mistakingly miss the stop at the saddledome. what else could go wrong? we get off at the next stop and are completely lost. we can see the saddledome in all it's glory right infront of us, about 10 minutes away. the only problem? there is a river inbetween us and the dome. there is two trails in which we could take now. we can not see the end of them, but we know that one of them will let us get to the saddledome. we spent a few seconds contemplating, and finally decide to go left. but of course nothing can go right for us tonight, and after walking for 5 minutes, we realize we took the wrong path. now running, we frantically make our way back and go on the right path.

we eventually make it to the doors with 5 minutes to spare. perfect timing or what? of course we had to go through a metal detector at the door. i see a sign that says 'all cameras and recording devices will be convescated'. what tha hell is that? i cleverly stick my tiny little camera in my bra and start making my way through. of course i beep, and the angry looking beast of a security guard starts giving me the evil eye. they then scan my whole body and find that this metal item is in my bra. he looks at me and i clearly explain that it is the under wire. since this man has obvaisly not seen many bras in his life, he lets me through. FINALLY, we can go to our seats with about 3 minutes to spare.

first up were aar, and they were pretty damn good. now im not the biggest rejects fan (sue me) but i knew many of the songs. i must admit that since the crowd was full of high/drunken 20 year olds, they could really care less about the rejects. i felt kinda bad, but there wasn't much i could do.

next was fob, who were better than i thought. now any fall out boy fan will know that they aren't know for the best live preformances. but they were actually pretty good. at this point more people started showing up and started singing along. of course there was the typical pete fan girls, and seriously, he's married. no matter how hard u scream he isn't going to leave ashlee and leap into your arms. just shutup and enjoy the concert. besides them, it was quite a good preformance. and is it just me or is patrick getting skinnier? just sayin.

and then the big moment came. it all went black and the crowd started to get excited. we all wait a couple minutes and then BAM! the curtain drops and there they are. bursting into dumpweed right off the bat got the whole crowd going. all the frat boys went insane. long story short, there was crazy lights, floating drum risers, fireworks, and wacky-waving-inflatable-arm-flailing-tube-man (which in my books equals a win). i think im running out of room on this thing, and all i ahve to say is that they were amazing. my words will do no justice to this concert. if you get a chance, i highly recomend that u go see them live. it is an expirience u will never forget.

August 3, 2009

This song is about Mark's penis it's called All The Small Things- Blink-182 Saskatoon

Searching the web going through the news and in May finding the tour dates to the Blink-182 comeback tour (and i only use comeback in the sense that they're, well, comming back as Blink-182)

Now any music fan would be going I HAVE TO BE AT THAT SHOW!

but probably any fan of music in Saskatchewan would be like A SHOW IN SASKATOON FUCK YES! I HAVE TO BE AT THAT SHOW!

including me

so lining up wasn't that bad, we got in around six which is awesome, then i tried getting some merch, before i lined up there was a merch booth outside where i did get my favorite blink shirt ever

Blink-182

Crappy Punk Rock

but that was nothing compaired to trying to get some Fall Out Boy merch, it was so horrible, when i finally got a purple Fall Out Boy shirt and two rubber braclets that say Fall Out Boy and I'm comming apart at the seams from Disloyal Order Of The Water Buffaloes.

Then i went down to the pit where i stayed for the rest of the night, it was okay during All American Rejects, but progressivly grew hotter and more squished when Fall Out Boy started.

THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS

They started with Dirty Little Secret and ended with Gives You Hell, they played some great song inbetween too, like Move Along it ends tonight, and my personal favorite Swing, Swing.

The All Amercan Rejects were great, they talked with the crowd, and even made fun of them. The lead singer, i think his name is Tyson, was clearly drunk, or else high on life it was great, he came out with no shirt on and covered in pink glitter! He continued and got everyone in the higher seats all to stand up, then they sat down and he said, "Oh yeah just sit the fuck down, assholes." But it was all in love.

FALL OUT BOY

What can't i say about Fall Out Boy, they were amazing!

The setlist went like this

Sugar We're Going Down

Disloyal Order Of The Water Buffaloes

Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet

I Don't Care

Dance, Dance

This Ain't A Scene Its An Arms Race

Thanks For The Memories

Americas SuiteHearts

Saturday

I was in awe the whole time, and singing my heart out the entire set! And i swear Patrick and I had like 15 seconds of eye contact 4 seperate times, you dont know how much i want them to come back on their own tour! A HUGE thing that happened after the second last song is that Pete was talking to a kid who was causing trouble, then Pete said, "Just for that kid, i'm gonna get Patrick to play a little bit of a Journey song!"

Then Patrick looked at him like, "What THE FUCK! YOU SUCK SO BAD!" He looked so nervious, but he did SO awesome! He only messed up once! I think every person sang along too! Some other good moments when was everyband said, "Whenever i come to Canada, I can smell the weed."

BLINK-182

There isn't anything but awesome that can be said about Blink-182. Their about 5 shows in and i think that their already on top of there game! They were amazing! I dont actually remember the whole setlist, it was kind of a overload over the last hour but heres what i remember-

Feeling This

The Rock Show

First Date

Always

I Miss You

Whats My Age Again

All The Small Things

Stay Together For The Kids

Adams Song

Violence

Down

Go

Anthem Part 2

(there were a couple more but i forget)

After their "ending" Anthem Part 2 Blink left the stage, Everyone sat there for atleast 5 minutes and screamed and yelled!

Then the big black curtain dropped and out came Travis Barker playing the craziest drum solo EVER. I mean seriuosly the drum riser came out and flew around, at one point it became almost verticle and he started spinning around, it was crazy.

Then Tom and Mark came back out and they broke out in Dammit! At first i didn't think Blink was gonna come back out when we were yelling so i was dissapointed when they didn't play it, but when they came back it was crazy the whole arena errupted into cheers, During Blink the whole thig was packed, i swear i saw every seat filled, but i was in the pit so i couldn't really tell, but Dur All Merican Rejects it wasn't as packed, Fall Out Boy alot more people started comming in, and i think everyone was there in the arena for Blink-182.

But during Dammit they had the "Crazy inflatable waving arms men, Crazy inflatable waving arms men!" and near the end huge confetti blew all over the place -

Then during the real end of the concert they sung the candian national anthem for us!

My favorite parts of the concert were definately

1. The Travis Barker drum solo

2. Patrick singing Don't Stop Believing

3. The whole arena, WHOLE arena breaking out in "LETS GO RIDERS!" right before Blink, Showing pride for the Saskatchewan RuffRiders.

5 Videos That Give You A Stiff Neck

5 Videos That Give You A Stiff Neck “There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.”
- Franklin D. Roosevelt

We're so used to watching films that move, and cut, and zoom, and generally feel very cinematic. But there's something incredibly understated about a video that's able to just set the camera down, and let the action play out in front of it. Below are five videos that do just that; the camera stays in one position, and everything else goes.

Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity
The great thing about this video is not so much how cool it looks to see everything move in the room, but the fact that Jamiroquai can dance the whole time.

Björk - Violently Happy
This video creeps me out not because they're so spastic, but because everything is too cheery!

The Bright Light Social Hour - Back And Forth
I could do to see that guy get a little more nekkid.

I Heart Hiroshima - London In Love
The colors really add to the feel of this video, in their own subtle way.

The All-American Rejects - Move Along
Kind of a cheat, since there's a lot of regular camera movement-- but you have to admit that when the quick cuts jump in, it's pretty intensely awesome.
