Like I started writting in a journal a few weeks ago and did it for like two weeks? and havent kept up with that, I should start up again. School is starting tuesday which means during weekdays I will do nothing but homework, sleeping, and some computer here and there. Yesterday I went to bush gardens with Dominic, my boyfriend, and whole family, two sisters, mother, dad.

February 20, 2009Since December......not that I have any friends on Buzznet (or any that care anyway).
I haven't been logging on here. I lost interest for a bit, especially with all the fighting and arguing that was going on when I left. I assume that has stopped now? I have been home in Alabama since December. I go back to L.A. in about 3 weeks. I'm so excited for that! We're leaving for Vegas as soon as Nicole picks me up from the airport though. haha Since I've been home, I started taking online classes at Arizona State working towards my master's degree. I will be moving to AZ in the summer months. We're tripping it down there a few times in April/May so I can look for places and scope it out... and hang out with Crash Coordinates! I think being here was good for me the past three months, despite how bored I was the majority of the trip. I didn't have any distractions, so I've been doing exceptionally well in my classes. I also found the time and passion to put into my web site/music zine, POPTHRILLER.COM. Before I leave, I want to at least lay the foundation for a print edition that we can give away at Warped Tour and various places. I also want to put together a mixtape [digital] and organize a benefit concert for Invisible Children or some other charity this summer. Anyone know a venue in SoCal that will let us do it for free or really, really cheap?

October 25, 2008Chea!Soo, I went last night and pre-ordered for the Twilight soundtrack. It
comes out on November 4th, I think. It was pretty.. Quiet. Not many
people were out because of the Alabama football game, I guess. I talked to this
one girl for a long time. I was going to say bye to her, but she ran
off somewhere. They have old school Power Ranger T's there! They are
so awesome. Must. Get. One. Or two.
![]() I was going to get a Nightmare billfold to match my purse, but.. I didn't have enough money. I got the soundtrack and a Pikachu T-Shirt (which is really cute). When I got home I found out that I did, infact, have enough money for the billfold. That is why I need one! I had all my money stuffed in my bag and couldn't find the other $20 I had. Oh well, I'll get it some other time. My mom got me Jack Skellington fingerless gloves. xD Our AC/Heater isn't working in the house. It's pretty cold here, so we won't need the AC. We need to get it fixed before it gets freezing or we're going to get frostbite. Alabama doesn't get that cold anyway, I'm not worried. I would love for it to snow this year. That's why I want to move up north; to actually see some snow. Anyhoo. I need to get dressed. I've been sitting here for an hour fooling around editing Xanga. I love my Witch Slippers.<3Cheers. - Sierra.

August 28, 2008Hoping to keep my house......and everything inside. As a local resident to what we love to call "Hurricane Lane" I'm taking all the normal precautions in regards to the appraoching storm that is sure to deal a heavy blow to my beloved bay. The only difference this year...
...my house is up for grabs...
So, loves, please say a little something for me and everyone else down here that we make it through this series of last minute storm surges of the 2008 Hurricane Season. We've been lucky the last few years...will it last? (It's like a bad movie tag line that you can't help but ask...) I'm hopeful...but I'm also worried about my beloved town of NoLa...they say she can't handle another one...they say she won't survive another big hit...why can't we just lift her out of the trenches and place her safely on dry land!? NOLA!!! Anyways, just stopping by to say hello! I'll be posting pictures of the storm and the aftermath so be on the look out for exclusive damage reports!!!

February 6, 2008Night of the twisters.
Wow, this is really hard to type. I live in northern Mississippi, right outside Memphis, and even though my city didn't really get effected or receive the bulk of the damage that ensued last night, it's still pretty heart breaking to turn on your local news and see beautiful Tennessee communities completely destroyed.
Last night five southern states experienced the worst weather that had been seen around these parts in 23 years. There's not yet been a confirmation on just how many tornadoes touched down, and so far 54 people have died. Last night around 11 or 11:30 a natural gas plant that was located about an hour from the Nashville metropolitan area was struck by a twister and erupted into flames that were over 400 feet high. Over 1100 Union University students are now out of housing becuase their dormitories were destroyed, along with all of their personal belongings and their cars. This morning aerial pictures from above Denmark, TN were broadcasted on the BCC News Network, basically, the entire town has been destroyed. You can read full stories and view photos of the damage here and here. xoxo, October Elizabeth

December 26, 2005Christmas in DixieThe week of Christmas, I made the 14 hour drive leaving Tulsa and arrived safely in the land that time forgot. My first stop, Opelika Alabama. Opelika, is the mill and industrial town that joins Auburn to form a wad of RR tracks, traffic lights and stores known as TIGER COUNTRY. I suspect most people are vaguely aware of Auburn University and the football team that manages to play on TV quite frequently....Opelika is an Indian name, I'm sure it must mean something like: "shut up and eat your Oatmeal". My fondest memory of the town has to be Sally Fields as a mill-worker in: Norma Raye. I believe much of the film was created in Opelika. I sure hope things have improved for those in the Textile Industry. Most likely many of the jobs Sally fought so hard to protect have moved to China. The Holiday Inn and Churches Fried Chicken sold in the filling station next door made for an excellent ending to a long day of driving. I decided not to continue on to Columbus as the 30 minute drive would push me into Eastern time. I had no interest in losing that hour. The morning would come soon enough and no trip through Opelika would be complete without a visit to Angel's Flea Market. Angel is the keeper of a fascinating world of booths and displays filling an old grocery store. It would be easy to spend hours within the walls. NEVER HAVE SO MANY WHO HOLD TO THE PAST SO FEIRCELY BE WILLING TO LET GO OF IT FOR A FAIR PRICE.
