Beat Union Have 'Ruff' Time in Canada; Stolen Van Surfaces

A four-legged creature is responsible for locating the man responsible for the disappearance and minor destruction of Beat Union's red tour van.

According to Sun Media, Beat Union recently had their van stolen outside of the Crowne Plaza Chateu Lacombe Hotel in Edmonton, Canada. Once police located the possible suspect, a chase broke out, resulting in the supposed criminal's capture ...  thanks to the police dog's firm grip (chomp chomp)!

The band was stuck in Edmonton for a few days, while the damaged-but-drivable Ford Econoline was repaired. Surprisingly, a motor scooters, some cameras, a guitar and two passports were stolen and replaced with condom wrappers and crack pipes. Eww!!

"This was an isolated incident and we were just unfortunate victims," crew member Chris Warsop told Sun Media, explaining that fans and locals offered to help the band in their time of need. "It restores your faith in humanity."

The band will be headed back on the road this month on a U.S. tour in support of their 2008 full-length, Disconnected.

Buzznet's own DJ Rossstar caught up with singer Dave Warsop on the last day of Warped Tour to talk about the band's experience on the summer trek.
