September 11, 2001. Osama bin Laden executed his long waited plans of starting a Holy War against the United States. He sent hijackers to take control of U.S. air crafts and take down key symbols of America. In response to his attacks Gorge W. Bush inishiated the War on Terrorism by invading Afghanistan to dispose of the Taliban. Seven years later and we are still in war. This war has coast us our loved ones and our economy. As a United States citizen I am out of the loop as far as our decisions being made in this war on only half of them make the news. We constantly protest and yet it goes without notice.

We go without being herd.

Directly after the attacks the United States came together as a whole. We began to put our differences aside and share sympathy and greevance. That time of togetherness came to a stop once we realized how bad this war is really hurting us. It is tearing families apart, killing our loved ones and driving us into poverty.

The American Stock Exchange, and NASDAQ did not open on September 11 and remained closed until September 17. U.S. stocks lost $1.4 trillion in value for the week. This is equivalent to $1.7 trillion in present day terms. In New York City, there were approximately 430,000 lost job months and $2.8 billion in lost wages, which occurred in the three months following the 9/11 attacks. Seven years later and we are still down.

The youngest victim was 2 year old Christie Hanson.

3,251 children lost a Parent on that day.

2,993 people died that day. 2,558days have past.

We're not even days to bodies until November 20th of 2009.

Is this really a Holly War? I think any God would be ashamed.

An eye for an eye and two countries go blind.

This war needs to end.
