Yellowcard Come Out of Retirement for Acoustic Show

Yellowcard is back from the dead, proving that just because a band goes on hiatus, it doesn't mean that they are done for good.

"Hey everybody! Got some good news ... Ryan [Mendez], Sean [Mackin] and myself are coming to Logan, UT on September 30th, 2008, for an acoustic performance. We will be playing songs from all of the records and we haven't played a show in a few months so we are really looking forward to it! The show will be at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on the campus of Utah State University. Doors are at 6:00pm and show starts at 6:30pm. Tickets will be available September 1st, and as soon as we have the link for purchase we will post it here. Hope to see all of our fans in Utah at the show!" singer Ryan Key posted in a recent MySpace blog.

Back in April, Key broke the hiatus news during an interview with online college paper The Minaret. "We really don't have any plans. We are calling it an "Indefinite Hiatus." After this tour, so, I don't know. It could be a year, 10 years, or 6 months. It's been an interesting time in this business and our record label. It's just. We kind of need a break," Key explained. Looks like the break is over ...  but do you think it's too soon!?

Yellowcard released their third full-length, Paper Walls, back in 2007.

Rayan, I was two people behind you in the line waiting in Athens at Sanford Stadium "Picture Day" thought it was great that you waited with all of us for what seemed to be an eternity to see the UGA Quarterbacks. My only concern was you bypassed the other quarterbacks just for 1 picture with Matthew Stafford and did not want a Pix or autograph from the up an coming QBs.

I really enjoyed the show! I arrived at the venue REALLY early (like 10:30 a.m.) and throughout the day I was able to hear Jason Reeves sound check and several songs of his and then to listen to your sound check/rehearsal later in the day. So, I feel like I had to concerts in one (except I was much less crunched the first time around.) LOL The set was really awesome. I have seen you a few times before and always thought your music was polished and professional. I still think so. :) The opening artists were great too, John and Jason were awesome. :) I'm so glad you picked Logan to put on this show. Oh, and if we weren't jumping up and down in the front, it was because we couldn't move. LOL BTW, does anyone have the set list? I wasn't able to get a copy, and didn't think to ask the guy who got the list for a photo. My memory isn't that great without it. LOL Thanks.
