Greatest hits records are always a touchy subject for music fanatics. Sure, a real fan already has a majority of the songs on it, but there's also a chance that some unreleased tracks will make their way onto the record. With that said ... Are you ready for the best of Sum 41!?



According to Theres No Solution (a Sum 41 fan site), 8 Years of Blood, Sake and Tears (2000-2008) will hit stores on November 26 and is a CD/DVD combo that features 17 songs and 13 of the band's music videos. (Can you believe they've made that many?) Highlights of Tears include the unreleased song "Subject to Change" and a brand new song "Steering Wheels" (See ... Greatest hits records aren't so bad after all!)

It's important to mention that this will be a Japanese release only and will probably cost you more money than you want to spend .. but you know that you will! Fans need not worry about this greatest hits record signifying the end for Sum 41. (When Green Day released International Superhits! in 2001, the Internet exploded with rumors that the record was the band's way of saying goodbye.)

"What are we doing now? I (Cone McCaslin) am going to start recording the next Operation MD album soon. You can go to [the band's MySpace page] for info on that ... and Deryck [Whibley] ... well since he writes the songs in Sum 41, he will be a busy guy for the next little while. We haven't planned when the next Sum 41 will come out but you guys will be the first to know when stuff starts happening.
