In case you were still wondering whether Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy and Katy Perry are indeed an item, his recent gift to her will probably give you an idea about their status.



"I went in [to the jewely store] and said I wanted a ring," McCoy told People.com about his present for Perry, who is joining him all summer long as part of this year's Warped Tour. "The lady behind the counter said, 'Here's one for $300.' I was like, 'I want a nice ring! Then I pointed to the big one."

"She was so excited! And I'd set up flowers everywhere," he said of how he presented the gift to her. He added that he was "so scared to give it to her."

The GCH frontman clarified that the diamond item is a "promise ring," but when asked if he had been rehearsing for a marriage proposal, he reportedly shrugged and grinned.

McCoy said Perry is wearing the ring on her left middle finger. "And I have one too!" he told People.com, adding that his is a silver band that has "Katy" inscribed.

McCoy beamed further about Perry, saying, "She's super-hot. ... When I first heard [Perry's hit single 'I Kissed a Girl'], I was like, 'This is going to be a smash' The next thing you know, it's #1 on iTunes.

"I'm proud of her, she deserves it. She's been in this business for the last six, seven years, and she's finally getting a break," McCoy continued about Perry, who used to perform as a Christian artist under the name Katy Hudson. "I'm excited for her."
