OK! So that DJ AM story was CRAZY! Barker should take how ever long it takes to heal completely, I'm sure he will be just as awesome as EVAR!

I don't think he should try playing until he's fully recovered 100%. You can't rush these things, Travis.

Travis Barker Released From Hospital; Still Recovering from Plane CrashTravis Barker announced on Friday that he would be leaving the hospital 'soon.' As luck would have it, Barker was released that very same day. Find out what he's doing right now!
![]() According to E! Online, Barker is currently at home, recovering from second-and-third-degree burns he suffered in last month's plane crash that took the lives of four others. Barker has requested 'privacy' while he continued to heal and there has been no word on whether the burns to his hands will permanently effect his [very talented] drumming skills in the future. ![]() Photo Credit: Barker's blog "I hate planes. My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash, so when that happened ... well, I'm just thankful to be alive! I'm just grateful to be here at all," Barker recently told US Weekly. "I have third degree burns basically from my feet up to my waist and both hands. One of my hands was second degree burns and one was third degree burns. I'm trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again. DJ AM also escaped the deadly crash that took the lives of four others, including Chris Baker and Charles Still (Barker's clothing company, Famous Stars and Straps, has designed a t-shirt for sale in their memory), and recently spoke to People about how the crash actually saved his life. "In the burn center, they did a scan and found that I had a blood clot that in this flight could have traveled to my heart and I could have died," stated AM. "I have a great deal of faith that everything happens for a reason. I put myself in God's hands. People explained that the clot developed from AM's constant flying and that while at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, a filter was put in his vein to prevent the clot (along with being required to take blood-thinning medication. How long should Barker wait before he attempts to drum again? Do you think his drumming will ever be the same?
