Rumors have been flying about a possible divorce between Avril Lavigne and Sum 41's Deryck Whibley, but before you get upset or think you actually have a chance with either of them, listen to what Whibley's camp has to say about the couple's marital status.


 
"I'm actually very surprised that so many media outlets picked this story up. Since when did the National Enquirer
become a trust worthy news source?," Whibley exclaimed on the band's MySpace blog. On October 20, the Enquirer was the first tabloid to run a story on their possible breakup. "We also strongly deny the National Enquirer claims of any other liaisons. Deryck has in fact been traveling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous
YouTube videos."

Sum 41 released their foruth full-length, Underclass Hero, in 2007 and back in August, bassist Cone McCaslin gave us a little update via MySpace blog on what the band has been working on. "I am going to start recording the next Operation MD album soon. You can go to [the band's MySpace page] for info on that ... and Deryck ... well since he writes the songs in Sum 41, he will be a busy guy for the next little while. We haven't planned when the next Sum 41 will come out but you guys will be the first to know when stuff starts happening."
