Ronnie Radke Can't Be Bonded Out of Jail, Buzznet Learns

Former Escape the Fate singer Ronnie Radke was "caught by surprise" when he was arrested on Tuesday, Nevada Deputy U.S. Marshal Michael Picou told Buzznet on Wednesday.

Police arrested Radke, who had been wanted by authorities for jumping parole, on Tuesday. He was admitted at 6:06 p.m. and is currently being held at Nevada's Clark County Detention Center, according to the center's Web site. A representative for the center told Buzznet on Tuesday that Radke was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and that a future court date was not yet available.

He is being charged with one count of probation violation, and can't be bonded out of jail.

On Wednesday, Marshal Picou shed more light on Radke's arrest, saying that police "caught him by surprise" at a residence in Henderson, about 15 miles outside of Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Sun had reported that Radke was arrested at the intersection of Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Sunset Road.

Radke was "arrested without incident" and didn't put up a fight – the matter was "nothing worthy of a TV show or movie," the officer said.

Picou added, however, that Radke "wasn't completely compliant." Police had him in custody "before he knew what was going on," according to the officer.

Picou said that he was not aware of any additional charges Radke might be facing, but he confirmed that the singer was indeed soliciting people for money to "allegedly reform his band," as had been previously reported.

According to a statement police from the police, "Law enforcement officers familiar with the investigation were doubtful all of the money would be used for this purpose, but suspected the money would be used to support his rock star lifestyle and previously known drug use while avoiding capture."

The 24-year-old Radke has been on parole for battery stemming from a 2006 fight that led to the death of Michael Cook. He had been sentenced to five years' probation in Las Vegas and ordered to pay almost $100,000 in restitution but jumped parole, Fox 5 reported. The Sun reports that Radke had failed to report to his probation officer.

During the 2006 altercation, Cook was shot and killed by one of Radke's friends, Chase Rader. However, the charges were dropped after Rader claimed self-defense.

Last week, Buzznet Community members had a lot to say about Radke jumping parole. What do you think of the latest developments?

That's good. Ronnie really needs to get his life back on line. I really hope after all this jail shit passes he can be in another band. His actions have been so idiotic lately.

Sounds to me like he was still using, thus why he never checked in with his porale officer. They would of made him immediately do a piss test upon checking in. A positive for drugs would of sent him to jail.

I feel really bad for him. Not that he got caught just that he let himself get this way. There were go many people rooting for him. I hope that his experience finally makes him get it. I hope he gets it through his thick skull and takes the help that is being offered to him.

I love the man. I just hate his choices.

I think getting his life together should come first, and then getting back with ETF.
