Rivers Cuomo Wants You to Spend Your Fall 'Alone' Once Again

Last winter, Weezer singer Rivers Cuomo released an 18-song record of home demos called Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo. Surprise, surprise, Cuomo will be releasing the sequel this fall, featuring even more rarities.

"I was really surprised when I put Alone II together and listened down to it," Cuomo revealed to Pitchfork Media. "I was really surprised how great it was. It makes me wonder if I have more good stuff on my hard drive than I thought I did. This one is not a step down in any sense. It's just surprising, both times [referring to Alone] we tried to pick the best songs I had. For some reason, you would think number two wouldn't be as good, but it seems to be better, if anything."

Out November 25, the 19-song record, appropriately titled Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, is made up of demos that span all the way back to 1992! This record is 16 years in the making! Take that Chinese Democracy!

Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo track list:

"Victory on the Hill"
"I Want to Take You Home Tonight [Listen]"
"The Purification of Water"
"I Was Scared"
"Harvard Blues"
"My Brain Is Working Overtime"
"I Don't Want to Let You Go"
"Oh Jonas"
"Please Remember"
"Come to My Pod"
"Don't Worry Baby [Beach Boys cover]"
"The Prettiest Girl in the Whole Wide World"
"I Can't Stop Partying"
"Paper Face"
"Walt Disney"
"I Admire You So Much"
"My Day Is Coming"
"Cold and Damp"
"I'll Think About You"

Meanwhile, Weezer guitarist Brian Bell hinted to The Dallas Observer that "Buddy Holly" director, Spike Jones (Beastie Boys, Kanye West), would be working on the band's video for "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived."

Bell recently shot down rumors that Weezer had begun working on their seventh full-length. "We're still going to focus on promoting the 'Red' album, and when we have the songs and the time feels right, we'll record [again]," Bell told Spinner.

Are you interested in Alone II or would you rather Weezer begin work on album number seven?
