REVIEW: Bayside Pwn Sold Out Crowd in Los AngelesBayside may have not yet received the mainstream success of Fall Out Boy or Panic at the Disco, but the energy of last night's crowd (October 23) at their sold out West Hollywood show at The Troubadour proves that their fanbase is just as passionate, if not more.
![]() Fans literally lost their minds at 10 p.m. as the New York rock band hit the stage, blasting through "Boy," the opening track on the band's latest record Shudder. The first thing that stands out about Bayside's live show is that the band sounds just as tight in person as they do on record ... Something that many other rock bands strive to achieve, with little success. Following "Boy," the band mixed up their set, playing songs from their entire discography. It's safe to say that about 80%-90% of the crowd, surprisingly made up of mostly men, knew the words to every song, old and new. Bayside's set stretched a little over an hour, but in that time the band covered lots of ground, performing over 15 songs, 5 off of Shudder and even an acoustic tune midway through the performance. While watching Bayside perform, you can tell they really are connected to the music they're playing. You can tell it's from the heart. Bayside is not a gimmick. There is no makeup, syncronized dance moves or matching outfits anywhere to be found ... Just four guys on stage, putting everything they've got into their live show and making sure their fans are involved and singing with them the entire time. Back in August, Bayside invited Buzznet's own DJ Rossstar to record gang vocals with them on three tracks on Shudder. Here's your chance to see video footage of what went down ...
