While the end of last week saw one of the Warped Tour's biggest names dropping off the bill – All-American Rejects – today comes news that Motion City Soundtrack will be on the trek longer than expected.



Originally, the Minnesota fivesome had planned to be on the tour from July 29 in Pittsburgh through August 9 in Seattle, with an extra date on August 13 in Fresno, California. But the idea of sweaty youngsters moshing in dirt fields has inspired the band to stay on the tour from July 29 through the final date, August 17 in Los Angeles.

As for those California Warped dates, MCS aren't the only new names entering the mix: legendary Los Angeles punk band Fear will be PWNing the Warped Tour for one night only, June 22 in Ventura. The group has been together for over 30 years, and, during the '80s, featured Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. With the Chili Peppers on hiatus, perhaps Flea will show up and rock out with the band.

Motion City Soundtrack released an acoustic EP last month featuring five stripped-down versions of songs from 2007's Even if It Kills Me. Meanwhile, Fear released their fourth full-length, American Beer, back in 2000.

Both bands will join the already-gigantic list of bands that will be performing on this summer's jaunt, including Gym Class Heroes, Paramore, Angels & Airwaves and Cobra Starship.
