After three months of working hard for you,  Max Bemis of Say Anything is slowing down his 'you pay me $150, I write you a personal song' business to begin work on the band's third full-length.



"I just wanted everyone to know we have now completed about 120 song shop songs!" Bemis stated in a blog on the band's site. "Thank you so much for everyone for being involved with the project. However, it's coming time to work on a new Say Anything record, so I have to delay song shop for a while. There are a few people who have paid for songs but haven't received them yet. We appreciate you buying a song so much and WILL deliver you one as soon as possible, but I have to work on the record now."Mr. Bemis, being the nice young man that he is, isn't just going to take your money and run (because you could easily find him at the next SA show in your hometown)! In fact ... he's doing the most admirable thing possible, given the circumstances.

"We are giving you the option to get a refund because I feel really bad about delaying. Usually I was able to get people their songs a week at the most after when they paid for them but the new record is keeping me busy. If you do want your song still, obviously you will receive it though it may take between three weeks and a month. I hope you guys forgive me because obviously this is in service of making a new Say Anything record!"

There is currently no word on whether drummer Coby Linder will continue giving drum lessons in the Los Angeles area, while working on the band's new record. Back in August, Linder revealed his top five personal favorite songs to play on drums to Buzznet's DJ Rossstar:
