Mark Tremonti Talks Creed Reunion: '2009 Could Be One of the Craziest Years Ever For Us'I know that you are sick of hearing about a possible Creed reunion, but ex-gutarist Mark Tremonti spoke specifically about the rumor, and that is definately newsworthy.
![]() "Who knows what can happen next year? 2009 could be one of the craziest years ever for us. Again, all I can say is that [Tremoni's current band with all of Creed, minus singer Scott Stapp] Alter Bridge is still very much a band and we have every intention of carrying on," Tremoni declared to Music Radar in a recent interview. Earlier this month, Billboard reported that Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy was a possible candidate to fill Robert Plant's shoes on next year's Led Zepplin tour. While nothing has officially been confirmed, Tremoni addressed the rumors to Music Radar, giving away some vital information in the process. "Well, we all have to be real hush-hush about it," Tremoni stated. "We hear the rumors; we know what everybody's saying; but as far as what's really happening ... I don't really know. Nobody does. [laughs] The only thing I can say is that, no matter what happens next year, it'll be for the ultimate benefit of Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge is our number one priority. Nothing has changed that in anybody's mind." Kennedy is not the only singer rumored to front Led Zepplin in '09. Dave Grohl, Sammy Hagar, Jack White and Steven Tyler's names have been floating around the Web, while Chris Cornell has found himself at the top of the rumored list. "I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be," Cornell recently told MTV. "I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss tour." Would a Creed reunion be a huge success, or a giant flop? Do you still care about Stapp and the gang?

I do.
I'm a huge heavy metal fan, but if Creed reunited, I'd go see them in a heartbeat.
Mark Tremonti is one of the most underrated guitar players around these days. While Scott Stapp was bringing the band down, the songs they wrote were awesome and I'd love to see them rip up arenas with 'Bullets' again.
