Katy Perry is heating up in a big way, as her controversial single, "I Kissed a Girl," is currently dominating both radio and iTunes charts. Now she's about to get even hotter with an upcoming appearance on network TV.

On June 12, Perry will make her acting debut, as herself, on the America's most successful soap opera, "The Young and the Restless." In the episode, Perry – who has a face and a personality that was almost made for the camera – will be doing a photo shoot for the cover of the fictional Restless Style magazine as part of the episode. You can catch it all at 12:30 ET/11 a.m. PT. If she does a good job, maybe they'll bring her back as a regular!

Perry's debut album, One for the Boys, hits stores (and our hearts) on June 17.  You can watch Perry perform songs like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Ur So Gay" all summer long at the Warped Tour. Meanwhile, keep singing Perry's music as loud as you can in your cars (I see this at least twice a day).
