Vampire Weekend, The Hold Steady Set for Capitol Hill Fest

The Capitol Hill Block Party puts Seattle's South Capitol Hill neighborhood on the map every summer. So, on July 25-26, the 11-year-old outdoor festival will unleash Vampire Weekend, The Hold Steady, Les Savy Fav and more on four stages for a low price.

The festival has teamed up with highly respected, and indie-focused, KEXP radio to broadcast the performances; DJs John Richards, Cheryl Waters and others will cover the two-day event. Capitol Hill festival will also be captured on video courtesy of The Stranger, you'll be able to access video clips from the festival at: lineout.thestranger.com.

Tickets for the Block Party go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. (PST) and are priced to move at $18 a day and $34 for a two-day pass. Partial proceeds will benefit nonprofits Home Alive, which encourages violence prevention, and The Vera Project, a youth-run all-ages venue and recording studio in Seattle.
