Tool's Maynard James Keenan to Hold Signing at Wine Bar

Tool singer Maynard James Keenan will be doing a signing tomorrow in Chandler, Arizona — at a Whole Foods supermarket.

According to Blabbermouth, Keenan will be appearing with his business partner Eric Glomski from 4-9pm at the supermarket's wine bar to sign bottles of their Caduceus, Merkin and Arizona Stronghold wine lines. For those unaware, Keenan has owned his own vineyards in Sedona since 2004 and has released his own lines of wine under the name Caduceus Cellars.

Keenan recently spoke with The Pulse of Radio about his upcoming signing and how it differs from meeting fans of his music: "Generally speaking, the people that are into wine are generally adults and respect people's space, and it's not about the person really who made it, it's about the wine. So there's definitely a calmer admiration that goes on in those circles."

Caduceus Cellars may face some competition with his line as Lil Jon has recently announced his own wine label — Little Jonathan Winery.

The Whole Foods supermarket is located at 2955 West Ray Road in Chandler. Make sure you get there early, connoisseurs!

I wasn't expecting to read about wine, either! Maynard wins at life on so many levels...however, I'd probably be there with a bottle of his wine in one hand and a copy of Aenima in the other for signatures.

Maynard has made it very clear that this is not an oppurtunity for people to freak out about tool, PC, etc. He is not a one dimension, he has other things going on. Like Caduceus, and Pucifer...That is what he is here for to enjoy the celebration of his wine, not to be lunged at by superfans...

^ Precisely why I'm not bothering to go, despite the fact that I live close by. I don't enjoy wine.

^This is why I'll never start my own winery. Silly Superfans.

I enjoy a bit of red wine. It matches my many ruby colored summer dresses, its hot here in Miami.

I would never drink John Travolta wine. I would be too afraid that it might be laced with nanobots that would take over my brain and convert me to Scientology.

I am a big fan of Keenan, his music and his wine. I went to the signing and picked up 7 bottles, signed by Keenan and Eric.

I live in Gilbert, but I got to the Chandler store too late (7pm). They were sold out (you had to buy the wine there to get it signed). Luckily, my boyfriend and I made it in time for the Stronghold bonanza up in North Scottsdale the next day. You could buy as many as you wanted at that point, which was fine with us because we prefer the slightly sweeter wines. We bought 12 bottles betweens us (planning on giving them to fellow Tool fan friends). We will drink one of them, save 1 to collect, and give the rest away, I'm guessing. I even got to have a quick conversation with the two about how much I do enjoy this particular wine because though I do prefer whites, Stronghold is not overly sweet (I was the second to last person in line who actually got to participate in the tasting). We are both big Tool fans, and we do enjoy a good wine, so it was a great experience. There were a whole lot of people there who were obvious Tool fans, but overall, everyone was very respectful of the fact that it was a wine event. I only saw 2 people (out of hundreds) of people in line with Tool shirts on. No cameras or signing of non-wine stuff, so it was just people diggin great wine, which happened to be produced by an amazing musician and his business partner. They were both obviously tired, but very polite, and even smiled at me (a rarity for Maynard, right?). So glad I got to go :)

I am going through the hardest time of my life right now and would love to have Maynard sing me a lullaby the way I have heard Tori Amos describe that he does for her
