The Used recently stopped by DJ Rossstar's Punk Rock Show to promote their iTunes exclusive EP Shallow Believer. Here's how it went:

The interview starts off a bit chaotic as the guys ramble on about anything that comes to their minds. Once things calm down we begin to discuss Shallow Believer, a collection of B-sides spanning The Used's entire career until now. When asked about the song Bulimic, from their S/T release, singer Bert McCracken describes it as, "leaving behind parts of your life that you're really not happy with." Shortly after, bassist Jepha Howard decides to show off his shaved chest. When asked about their show at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey, McCracken goes on to explain that night which involved drinking and beating up every security guard on video.

The tough questions start rolling in as McCracken is asked to explain how to scream. "You just have to be able to throw away all you inhibitions," McCracken explains with a serious face. When asked about the true meaning of the word "fapple," guitarist Quinn Allman cleverly responds with, "a fat apple." The gross-out moment of the night comes from the kooky McCracken who digs through his nose for the pefect booger and then eats it! Laughter then fills the room as McCracken pulls out an impromptu performance of Paramore's "Misery Business."

Forget Taste of Chaos, The Used joke about starting their own tour with Skittles called Taste the Rainbow Tour as well as the Meal of Chaos. Howard "touches" on his private piercings, McCracken continously makes odd noises and the guys joking respond to a questions about being "sell-outs?" "When I'm on my boat I don't really think about it but when I'm in my third home I sometimes wonder why I did it all," Quinn exclaims. The interviews ends like any good interview should — with a hilarious rendition of Linkin Park's "Bleed It Out" by Mr. McCracken.
