Danity Kane leave Hannah Montana looking up

Danity Kane, Diddy's R&B quintet from the second season of "Making the Band", has claimed the illustrious #1 spot on the Billboard 200 with their new release, Welcome to the Dollhouse, which sold over 236,000 copies, according to SoundScan. So big ups to those lovely ladies. Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 27 actually managed to sell more copies this week than the week before, climbing to #2. The popular compilation includes songs by diverse artists like Rihanna, Kanye West, Boys Like Girls, Paramore, and (haha) Britney Spears.

Crunk's latest one-hit wonder Flo Rida debuted at #4 after selling 86,000 copies of Mail on Sunday. And oh Buzznet, while I'm tired of writing about her, and you're tired of hearing about her, Hannah Montana made a strong comeback this week with sales of Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. The release was up 137 percent from the previous week, rocketing her back up to #6 on the charts. It has sold dangerously close to 3 million copies to date.

Congratulations are due for Black Tide who debuted at #73, selling over 11,000 copies of Light From Above (check out TheReaper's interview with Black Tide), and Bury Your Dead, who made their first foray into the Billboard 200. Finally, Paramore sales of Riot! were up 23%.

Funny that even though Hana Montana seems to always be put down, her name is used in the headline to lure in readers. Ha!

btw don't care for the child, just saying.
