Rivers Cuomo of Weezer has been writing classic pop songs for years and is now asking for your help to write a new one.

Whether it was born out of fun or boredom, Cuomo, sporting a '70s mustache, had posted a video last Wednesday that was nothing short of bizarre!  Unfortunately, not enough Web exposure was given to promote this unique idea. In the video we were given step-by-step instructions on what kind of song to write. The first step was deciding on the attitude of the song. "We're gonna write a song that's gonna be fun. It's gotta be poppy but it's gotta be tough at the same time," Cuomo explained.

The second step was choosing a name for the song! After sorting through a ton of video responses, Cuomo decided on the name "'80s Radio" because the song gave him a sense of "this kind of outcast character who's got, you know, his relationship to his music."

Step three gives us the great opportunity of coming up with the chord progression for the track. "We're just looking for something that's gonna capture this vibe," Cuomo explained. All he wants from you is a video response with the info! Cuomo is currently at his grandparents' house which allows you some extra time to create this masterpiece. Pick up a guitar, sit at a piano, play a banjo and start writing.
