Gerard Way Ashamed Of Past

Do you own My Chemical Romance's 2006 live DVD, Life On The Murder Scene? Have you watched the scene on the DVD in which singer Gerard Way is drunk and throwing up behind their bus?

According to Absolute Punk, Way is still ashamed of that footage.

Regarding that particular scene in the DVD, andPOP quotes Way as saying, "It was important to show how foolish I was and send a message that there's no glamour (in that)."

That video footage is over 2 years old. Way is a recovering alcoholic and hopes that people who see that footage will be inclined to stop drinking.

	jd195527: 02/16/2007 12:29 PM It's weird, i actually use that clip when the girls in my dorm (at my boarding school, not college) ask me to get smashed with them. When there isn't any other motivation not to drink, and it seems like a good idea - if I know I won't get caught, if there's alcohol available, if everyone else is doing it and can still get up for class in the morning - my friend and I go watch her LOTMS dvd. We've seen it like 7 times. I have a lot of reasons why I don't drink, but when I can't think of any of them, or people are talking me out of them, it's nice to have that clip as a reminder.

I heard a rumour it was his New Years Resolution but I read an interview where it said he was smoking :-( -I don't cry during it but its a really hard part to watch and to see that he went through all that depression and things
