Jimmy Eat World to Give Longtime Fans a Special Treat This WinterFans who have been arguing for years that Jimmy Eat World's 'older records are better than the band's more recent stuff,' will finally have a chance to relive their past as the band is planning to play 1999's Clarity in its entirety on their upcoming Winter 2009 tour.
![]() A recent press release revealed that the band has scheduled ten shows (dubbed the Clarity X 10 Tour) across the U.S. to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the third full-length and fan favorite. Reuben's Accomplice will be along for the ride until March 4. No Knife will take over as the opening act for the final three dates of the tour. This will most likely be a once in a life time event, so I would suggest traveling from other countries if you are a J.E.W. fanatic! Jimmy Eat World tour dates (Post in the community of the date you are planning to attend): 2.23: New York, NY @ Terminal 5 2.24: Washington, DC @ 930 Club 2.25: Philadelphia, PA @ Trocadero Theater 2.26: Boston, MA @ House of Blues 2.28: Chicago, IL @ Metro 3.2: Denver, CO @ Ogden Theatre 3.4: San Francisco, CA @ The Fillmore 3.5: Los Angeles, CA @ Club Nokia 3.6: San Diego, CA @ House of Blues 3.7: Tempe, AZ @ Marquee Theatre The band released their sixth full-length, Chase This Light, back in 2007. Perhaps they'll record one of the upcoming Clarity shows and release is as a live album. (That's my idea J.E.W., I want some royalties!) Recently Coheed and Cambria created their own event, NEVERENDER, in which the band performed all four of their records over a four night period in NY, Chicago, LA and soon to be London. Do you wish more band's would dedicate specific tours or shows to just one of their records or do you enjoy a setlist made up of songs from an entire discography?
