The band might be on hiatus, but fans will have a chance to see Foo Fighters' singer Dave Grohl on television come November 26 ... But it won't be for a live concert. Mr. Grohl is going to be a guest-judge on a reality show that has nothing to do with music.



According to Hollywood Insider, Grohl will be putting his tastebuds to the max on a special "Foo Fighters' Thanksgiving" edition of "Top Chef" that will air on November 26 at 10 p.m. On this episode, the contestants must impress the band with their cooking skills, during their tour stop in Rochester, NY. You know the band has to be starving if they are playing a show later that night!

For those out of the loop, "Top Chef" is a cooking reality show on Bravo that is currently in its fifth season. I personally love "Hell's Kitchen" more and would pay to see Grohl get into a shouting match with master chef Gordon Ramsey.

Although I think it's a shame that the other Foo bandmates will not be allowed on the judge panel to select a winner, I am still very interested in watching this, aren't you? They should start a cooking reality show made up of only musicians (*copyrighting that idea has we speak*).

Meanwhile, The Foo Fighters are giving the U.S. a special pre-holidays gift this month  ... a live eighteen-song DVD! Live at Wembley Stadium (out Noveber 18) was shot on both June 6 and June 7 at the famous London venue (not be confused with Milton Keynes National Bowl where Green Day's live CD/DVD Bullet in a Bible takes place) and the DVD combines performances from both nights, not to mention a few guest performers, including members of The Wallflowers and Led Zepplin.

Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters recently appeared on DJ Rossstar's Punk Rock Show to promote his own band, Jackson United, and revealed that the band's busy extensive touring schedule was partly due to the fact that he had more free time as a result of the Foo Fighters taking a break.
