Charlotte Sometimes has spent the better part of '08 acquainting herself with music lovers – after spending the first part of her career putting out her own EPs, she squeezed out her major-label debut, Waves and the Both of Us, early last month. Now it's time for her to get some serious exposure, on this summer's Warped Tour.



And with that said, Sometimes will actually be getting more exposure than just about anybody on the trek – even though she admitted to Buzznet that she's a "virgin" to the festival, she's scheduled to play the full enchilada. As part of our "Warped Tour Warm-Up" series, we caught up with Sometimes to chat about getting Warped for the first time,  amping up for Angels and Airwaves, and indulging herself with chocolate and Scrabble.

Buzznet: Share some highlights, good or bad, of past Warped Tours you've played or attended.

Charlotte Sometimes: I've never been :/

Buzznet: What's the best part about playing Warped?

Sometimes: That I get to reach out to so many people and play to a crowd I never really have before.

Buzznet: What will you be doing to kill time on the tour bus?

Sometimes: Writing music and playing Scrabble.

Buzznet: What's the best way to cure the heat while touring with Warped?

Sometimes: I'd say playing with squirt guns.

Buzznet: How has Warped evolved over the years in your opinion?

Sometimes: It's becoming more of a music festival instead of a punk tour ... I think it's cool that music [featured on Warped] isn't genre-specific anymore.

Buzznet: List a few items on your rider that we might not expect.

Sometimes: Everything that is gluten-free. I'm a celiac [an autoimmune intestinal disorder] :(... so lots of cookies without wheat ... I have a thing for chocolate ... OK?

Buzznet: Do you have anything unusual planned for your set, whether it be cover songs, tracks you normally don't play?

Sometimes: We'll see ...

Buzznet: Are you planning any props, backdrops, screens or anything else in terms of stage setup?

Sometimes: I haven't gotten that far in my head, haha.

Buzznet: Which bands are you most looking forward to seeing perform? Who do you think will blow up after Warped?

Sometimes: Angels and Airwaves for sure. I can't really predict who will blow up ... maybe me??? (just kidding ... kind of ...)

Buzznet: Any tips for people going for the first time?

Sometimes: I'm a virgin to it too ... so we can hold hands ... we'll take it slow ;)
